Fun upbeat music for all events .. if you have songs you would like to hear just let us know ahead of time so we can practice them. We can do certain cover songs.

Chillakaya is a Reggae fusion band based out of Jacksonville Beach, Florida. The group is made up of three musicians. Their music style is Reggae Fusion/Soca/Dancehall/Rock Steady/Island Party Music/Reggae

Kemwa Z

Lead Vocals/Bass

Originally from the island of Antigua, he brings across rich Antiguan flavor with his lyrical style. He also plays a 5-string Steinberger bass. Kemwa has always blended with music and is the founder of Chillakaya.

Arthur on drums has spent years mastering the upbeat grove with his unique style of drumming adding in his tight chops

Lia De
Keyboards/Manager
Originally from New York. She began playing piano as a child and now enjoys the style of playing Reggae keyboard. Lia also handles scheduling and social media for Chillakaya.

We are extremely excited that we are able to share upbeat music for many events, private parties, and venues. We have done several festivals and play regularly in the local bars and restaurants in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina really anywhere the music takes us. Kemwa Z is the founder Vocalist/Bass player of Chillakaya. He is dedicated to providing island-style fun exciting music for your events or parties. Lia has played keyboards with Kemwa Z for 5 years. Depending on the size of your venue or event space we can provide a three, four, or five (if agreed upon ) size band. We provide a full P/A system.

If we do need insurance just met us know. During Covid -19 there were not many live performances happening so we downsized some of our expenses. We have never had an issue although if this is something that is required that is no problem.
