Overview
Chillakaya is made up of three musicians; Kemwa Z is the lead vocalist, bass player and founder of the band, who grew up in the town Old Road on the beautiful island of Antigua where he was heavily influenced by the culture of the country.
Lia De is their manager and keyboardist, who brings her talent from New York. A change of path led her to find that she loved playing live music.
Damion, also known as "Damdrumz," a highly versatile professional drummer hailing from Kingston, Jamaica. His journey with drumming began at the age of 9.

The entire team was great. The lead singer was phenomenal. On point, great energy. They were hired for an 80th birthday. Bermudian family enjoyed every bit of it.

These guys brought the islands and great vibe to our gardens for our Reggae In The Garden event. They were excellent and all our guests that were in attendance were so pleased with their music and want us to invite them back soon!

Showed up when they said they would. Pleasant, lovely band members. Played a great Reggae mix over 3 hours. My girlfriend was thrilled to have them play for her 50th birthday and I will be sure to recommend them to friends and family! Great job CHILLAKAYA!!!!

Fun upbeat music for all events .. if you have songs you would like to hear just let us know ahead of time so we can practice them. We can do certain cover songs.

Meet the Band:
• Kemwa Z (Lead Vocals/Bass) – Originally from Antigua, Kemwa infuses his island roots into every performance, grooving on his 5-string Steinberger bass. Founder of Chillakaya.
• Damion (Drums/Backing Vocals) – A master of upbeat rhythms, Damion delivers tight, dynamic drumming that drives the band’s infectious sound.
• Lia De (Keyboards/Manager) – A seasoned player from New York, Lia brings vibrant reggae keys while handling the band’s scheduling and social media.

Additional Booking Notes
If we do need insurance just met us know. During Covid -19 there were not many live performances happening so we downsized some of our expenses. We have never had an issue although if this is something that is required that is no problem.
