Chris Barbosa is a virtuoso acoustic and electric violinist from the Tampa Bay Region. He has performed in local venues and festivals across the state and theaters like Ruth Eckard Hall in Clearwater and the famous Carnegie Hall in New York. His style ranges from classical to jazz and everything inbetween. Chris Barbosa is based in Tampa but performs in many venues nationally including across Florida for weddings, parties, restaurants, bars, festivals, theaters, corporate events, radio, and television He can play in just about any style ranging from classical to jazz, club/DJ music, classic hits, and even bluegrass to contemporary. Chris also has a unique way of performing by using a loop pedal to make it sound as if many people are playing with him. It creates the sound of a full orchestra, a quartet, it essentially creates a one - man band. He uses backing tracks as well and will send a free sample of your song request. Chris Barbosa is a dynamic instrumentalist from the Tampa Bay Region who has performed in many bands, orchestras, television shows, competitions, and venues across Florida and nationally. He taught himself piano at age 10 and continued to learn the viola and violin throughout his schooling years. He attended Florida State University majoring in Music Performance. Chris has a natural ability to improvise and a strong empathic power of expressing his musicality while continuing to strive further for virtuosity and depth.
I provide all of the equipment needed for each event but willing to use the venues equipment as well. I will play at any location and power outlets are not necessary. I use quality battery powered speakers if needed for the occasion. There is a $100 charge for outdoor events on the beach, microphone services are provided as well for $100. These costs may vary depending on each event.
