Chris Paugh is a father, graphic artist, comedian and firebrand from Cleveland, OH. Chris is best known as a fearless idealist grounded firmly in reality. He started his artistic exploits as a pop culture podcaster in Columbus, OH in the late 2000's, making the transition into stand up comedy and quickly picking up a knack for producing quality shows in the area. After moving back to Cleveland with his family, Chris immediately won the Funny Stop Amateur Night contest. Audiences fell in love with his effortless attacks on conventional social, sexual and political norms. Chris recorded two well received albums, American Pothead and Apaughcalypse Now.
First time we had a comedian at a work event and everyone loved it. Chris did a great job. I'm sure we will have him back.
I've seen Chris preform twice when he was located in the cbus area, and I continue to follow him on social media. He has a great blend of political and pop culture humor.

When you hire Chris Paugh for a standup gig you can expect to have a good time and not to worry about a (link hidden)ris works really hard on his material to find the right words in the right order to make people laugh. He does his very best to keep things fresh and original and to take the crowd by surprise as often as (link hidden)om cereal to the darker aspects of parenting and being an adult you'll never know what will come next. A strongly worded opinion on the half dollar or an endearing story about his 12 year old daughter predicting his early demise, your party/event is in good hands when you book Chris to do standup. He provides a fun professional show with his own sound equipment or yours for the same cost and also has years of experience with setting up and running regular and ongoing shows.
Chris is always there early to set up sound and let you know exactly how to optimize the experience for you and those you wish to have entertained. He always answer quote requests within a few hours and all quotes are negotiable as he is willing to work with you on your needs for the show. Please feel free to ask, no matter the venue or situation. He has performed/ran shows in Theaters, bars, record shops, hookah lounges, comicbook stores, card shops, tattoo parlors, art galleries, pizza places, colleges, on the radio, bistros, festivals, patios, house parties, if you have pretty much anywhere with an electrical outlet something can be worked out. Just ask .

After moving back to Cleveland with his family, Chris immediately won the Funny Stop Amateur Night contest. Audiences fell in love with his effortless attacks on conventional social, sexual and political norms. Chris recorded two well received albums, American Pothead and Apaughcalypse Now. Well, not universally well received as the first album was unsuccessfully used against him in a failed attempt by his ex wife to obtain custody of his kids. One could argue that Chris's jokes hold up in a court of law.
Chris began producing the Ad Hominem Attack Show, a Roast Battle Showcase. The show has maintained a loyal following of comics and audience alike for over seven years across multiple venues and cities. The Ad Hominem Attack Show is the longest running roast battle in the Midwest. Chris is also a founding member of Sad Boys Social Club, a sketch comedy outfit who have toured the Midwest and released an album. He continued in the podcasting sphere as well, hosting Ad Hom Radio for several years, as well as being a frequent guest on WCSB talk radio on Friday and Wednesday evenings. His newest venture is a weekly stand up showcase at Spotlight Cleveland, which like it's venue suggests shines a spotlight on the city's comedic talents.
Paugh is a good fit in any lineup, at any point in the lineup. He has the requisite charm and energy to host as he has at the Ad Hominem Attack Show for years. He can spin a compelling narrative to hold a crowd in the palm of his hand for any length of time, or he can deliver the quick laughs to spice up a showcase. He retains the Midwestern style of personal, conversational stand up comedy with a coastal, opinionated bent. Left leaning without teetering off the edge into idealistic nonsense, Chris Paugh is as relatable to small town America as he is to the cities where he resides. It is in your best interest to catch Chris Paugh now before his abs fully develop and he becomes inaccessible outside of traditional media.
Will provide sound setup for additional fees if needed, opening act, or full showcase if needed. Please include this information in your quote request.
