Beforehand, I was admittedly a bit worried about the performance coming across as a little cheesy, but Chris was fantastic and my concerns were unfounded. His communication ahead of time was great, and the crowd loved him. He took requests, which was a bonus, and his laid back style, personable style was the perfect fit for our event. He’s got a great voice, is a talented pianist, and I highly recommend him.

For a more low-key event, you would generally see me in the corner, or off to the side near the bar, set up with my speaker, playing lots of hits in ways you wouldn't generally expect. My voice is clear and commanding, but for this environment I'd keep everything as subtle as possible, while still injecting upbeat pop and rock to keep things lively. This is designed mainly for social gatherings, where atmosphere is needed, but nobody wants to be shouting over the music.
For a high-energy show, it's more like what you would get in a dueling pianos show. I'm usually up on a stage, or featured prominently in the room, and I have sound activated lighting. I take requests from the audience, and encourage them to sing along. I make jokes (nothing off-color) and I don't hold back in showcasing my voice and piano skills. This is designed for main entertainment, where people want something to watch and interact with.
For weddings, I work together with my fiancee Jessica to create fully customizable entertainment, officiating, sound, lighting, and personal attendant services throughout the day. We’re capable of creating any setting you like, with an all-inclusive flat rate.

I'm affordable, likable, I provide my own equipment, and I'm capable of providing both low-key background entertainment for a relaxed ambience that won’t overpower conversation, as well as high-energy foreground entertainment that engages your crowd.
I've played formal and informal events all over Des Moines, IA and Chicago, IL, but I range all over the Midwest, with shows in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan under my belt so far.

I have no requirements for lighting, staging and sound other than what you provide. If your venue would like to provide my sound equipment, all I require is a microphone/boom stand, and 2 direct boxes to hook my keyboard setup into. I always bring my own lighting, but the venue is more than welcome to supplement it.
