Circoholic - Circus Performance and Creation

Jean Carlos Claudio is an all-around circus/physical theater born and raised in Puerto Rico. He began to discover the circus in 2009 as a stilt walker. Soon after he started to perform in shows, concerts, and parades. In 2011, he began to explore the theatrical clown (Lecoq based), the aerial silks, and diabolo juggling while working at a theme park. In 2013 decided to travel to Buenos Aires where he trained with artists from renowned circuses including Martin Pons (Cirque du Soleil), Matias Plaul (Cirque du Soleil and Les Sept Doigts de la Main) and Gabi Parigi (Proyecto Migra, Les Septs Doigts de la Main, and Le Lido graduated). He also trained in the first circus school in the country, Circo Criollo, and took various workshops with the theater company, Cabuia Teatro.

After 2 years he decided to return to Puerto Rico to work with his own company, Circo La Vuelta, Which he co-founded with his partner, and spouse, Raquel Torre. The company was a success, performing at events such as the: Circo Fest (phone number hidden)6 (international circus festival) , La Titeretada 2015 (puppetry show), Las Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastián (festival in Puerto Rico's capital), along with other corporate events, birthdays, weddings, and more.

In 2016, he moves to Chicago to complete a Professional Circus Training Program at the Actor's Gymnasium in Evanston. Since then, he has performed with Opera-Matic, Theatre Oobleck, and CircEsteem (where he also teaches).
