Born in Atlanta Georgia, Clark Joseph Hodges has had a passion for fine music from a young age. By age 6 Clark was taking lessons in piano and music theory, and by age 12 played his first gig in Macon Georgia. Clark was a season ticket holder to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for 6 straight years as a young child, and began studying many of the most popular classical music works at a young age. During his first year of high school, Clark first heard the jazz stylings of Grant Green and Clifford Brown, and his musical attention quickly focused. Clark began obtaining every jazz record he could, and seeking instruction from Atlanta's finest resident and hosted musicians. Clark attended Georgia State University where he was awarded a GSU Foundation scholarship for his exceptional musicianship. While at Georgia State University, Clark performed as a featured soloist with guest artists Kenny Werner, René Marie, Bobby Shew, Randy Brecker, Alex Iles, Michael Abene, Eric Alexander, and Ed Neumeister. Graduating in May 2019 from Georgia State University with honors, Clark is making his mark on the Atlanta Jazz scene and has blossoming composition projects, the release of which are highly anticipated.
Artist riders vary by gig location, length etc. Clark's bands are capable of providing audio equipment for small to medium sized venue.
