Hi! My name is Kara and I’ve played violin for 19 years. I play classical, Celtic and pop music covers for weddings, parties, dinners, proposals, and other events.
Special requests? I will learn new music for you.
I play indoor and outdoor (weather permitting of course) and have all my own equipment and music.
Let me know in a message how I can make your special event memorable:)

The performance was perfect! Thank you!
Response from Classical, Celtic & Pop Violinist:
It was so special to me to be a part of this moment for you two. Thank you so much! - Kara
she did a Awesome Job! Very nice and a great player definitely would hire her again!
Kara did an amazing job playing the violin at our outdoor wedding ceremony....Sarah and I couldn't have been happier! She was very professional, easy to contact right from the start and was flexible when it came to song selections. She is extremely talented and her music made for a beautiful addition to our special day!
I wouldn't change a thing about her performance. Helped set the correct mood.
Kara was a pleasure to work with! She played violin at our outdoor wedding ceremony and did an incredible job! We had many compliments from our guests and it truly made our wedding ceremony special! She has an extensive song list and was great at putting together a set that was perfect for us! She was always prompt about responding and easy to contact. I would highly recommend! Thanks Kara for everything!
Kara played at my son's wedding in May. The wedding was informal in some ways. Mostly in that the bride and groom were very easy going with the schedule, concentrating on what was working at the time. And the best part was that Kara planned and performed beautiful music AND managed to adapt as needed. I would hire her again in a heartbeat !
An easy one to deal with, she came early and had minimal needs. She had a nice collection of songs to fill her 90 minutes. Most pleased.
Response from Classical, Celtic & Pop Violinist:
Tom,
It was a delight to play for that party. I had a great experience - thank you for everything!

Was what we were looking for, for the event ~ she was a great fit!
Kara played beautifully for our church services AND was on time and prepared! She added a lot to the day, and I'll be asking her to play with us again!
Kara arrived early and was extremely professional. She played straight through for two hours without even taking a break! Her playing is lovely--it added a great deal to our event. I would hire her again without hesitation, and I'd recommend her to anyone!

I'll do my very best to provide the type of music and experience you've asked for! My main focuses are classical and celtic music, and I know a handful of pop covers as well. Most of the music I play is appropriate for weddings and many other events where easy-listening music is needed for background setting or seating at a wedding (think Pachebel's Canon in D and Ave Maria variations). The Celtic pieces are upbeat and lively and go over well in so many settings! Almost all the music I play I read from sheet music, but if I know a piece really well I can stroll around and play if asked.
I'll arrive early to meet you, get a feel of the environment, and set up. I provide my own music stand, instrument, and an amplifier w/ necessary pedals/cables.
In some cases, I've found an amplifier isn't needed and the sound carries well on it's own.
Kara has been playing violin for 19 years, starting with private lessons and playing in Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies based in Minneapolis, MN. After high school, she began playing for weddings and events and in church with worship teams.
Today she plays in Los Angeles and enjoys learning pop covers for leisure and at request, playing Celtic music and folk tunes, and working as an RN during the day. :)
I have a Strawberry Blonde Acoustic Instrument Amplifier and a pick-up installed on my violin, as well as a Hall of Fame reverb pedal I like to use on occasion for effects. I have all the cables necessary and a power strip. I only need enough space for that setup (if needed), which is about 6 ft x 6 ft roughly, and a reliable power source w/ a 3 prong outlet.
