Price Range: $400 - $600
Basic fee $400 includes consulting with the client to choose music. The degree of involvement varies from them choosing everything to me choosing everything. The basic fee covers a normal length wedding in one location. I arrive early, set up, play the wedding as arranged, tear down and leave. Additional costs may result from having to change locations (i.e. move and play the reception also,) accompanying a soloist, learning specially requested music for which there are no existing harp versions, travel to a point distant from Palm Springs. The harp is an unusual instrument, so I reserve the right to decide what music can work or not. I'm also somewhat skeptical of outdoor locations. Harps are made of wood and cost at least as much as a small car, so being in excess heat, sunlight, or being exposed to rain are not acceptable situations.

Chuck has handbell, brass, and choral music published by the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers, MorningStar Music Publishers, and From the Top Publishing. He has written works on commission for churches in Ohio, Florida, Georgia, New York, Missouri, and Texas, as well as for the Carillon Handbell Choir of the University of Southern Mississippi. His handbell and organ piece “Haec Est Dies” was premiered at the national American Guild of Organists’ Convention in July, 2010. Chuck has studied harp with Ulrike Brinksmeier at the Cincinnati Conservatory and with Ayako Watanabe in St. Louis. He has performed as harpist with the Webster University Symphony Orchestra, the Belleville Philharmonic Orchestra, Christ Church Cathedral (Episcopal), and the Gateway Men’s Chorus. He is past Dean of the St. Louis Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, and immediate past director of the Gateway Ringers, St. Louis’s premier community/auditioned handbell ensemble.
In 2020, Chuck retired from his job as choirmaster/organist at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Webster Groves, Missouri, and moved to Palm Springs, CA.
My harps have pickups installed and can be plugged into an existing sound system should there be one present in the venue (I do not own such a system.)
