Thank you, Lillie. I’d love to play for your residents any time.
We requested a singing telegram for a retirement party. We only had about 10 days to find someone. Dave was available and stated he could write a song for the occasion within that time. Dave arrived as a hippie wanting to jam with "Phil". Dave composed a personalized song with funny details about our guest of honor, accentuated with retirement jokes throughout the song. Dave delivered a great performance. The guest of honor and audience enjoyed it very much. We appreciated that Dave could provide such a personalized performance on such short notice. We will definitely keep Dave in mind for any future entertainment needs.

Had the most amazing anniversary thanks to Dave! He brought his guitar and killer vocals to our living room, turning our celebration into a private concert. His music set the perfect vibe—super chill yet totally enchanting. What blew us away was how he personalized the songs, weaving our story into the performance. It felt like he was an old friend serenading us.
Dave didn't just play, he brought such a wholesome vibe to our night, got us singing along, and made the whole night feel like a party. Super professional and a genuinely nice guy, he made the whole process easy and fun. Having him perform in our living room was the best decision for our anniversary. Huge thanks to Dave for making our day so damn special!
Also he didn't over charge, in fact: gave us a great deal. So I'll be adding a tip to this guy as a thank you!
Honestly if you're trying to choose someone right now and you're looking through reviews, save yourself some time and contact this glorious man you won't regret it.

Dave came and put on an amazing show and people really enjoyed his laid back and soulful style! You will not be disappointed!
He definitely gave us our money's worth for our recent Nebraska State Conference! Enjoyed both his own personal songs as well as those recorded by other artists. Already had requests for his information, as others are wanting to ask him to play for another upcoming event. Thanks again, Dave. You are such a blessing! Keep up the great work.

Thank you, Tammy. Delivering Kirk's singing telegram was a lot fun. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Under that great music, was a fantastic person as well. A combo I believe is rare. Wonderful all around. It was short notice on my end, but no problem for Dave. He came through all the way around. Singing, song choice, guitar playing. Thank you for doing this for my sick friend! She said it was awesome.

Dave was great! He was really flexible when we had to change our date. Communication was great. He was very friendly, timely and the music was great. We had lots of kiddos at our party and he was very accommodating. We made the mistake of having a water gun at the party, which a seven year old splashed him with, to our horror. Dave was very gracious and even engaged the interested children with a few small instruments. Guests asked for his info afterwards. Loved all the music he played and would definitely book him again! Thank you Dave!

Dave was awesome. It was perfect for our event. It was a 30th birthday party with all ages from 6 months to 65 and everyone one there knew the songs he played. Highly recommend, prompt, reasonably priced and traveled almost 2 hours to be here. Will have him back for sure!
Great personality, great musician, great job. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again.

Thank you, Steve. I’m glad I could be a part of your successful fundraiser.
Dave was awesome! We booked him for our fathers' 86th birthday. He was early, which was great! He was very approachable and very easy to work with. Dad's a lover of the old Trail Cowboy moving his cattle to and fro and he LOVES all the songs that go with the way things were. Dave knew songs Dad spoke of, he's very knowledgeable. Dad's toe tapping and body movements made us very happy. He, and all of us in attendance really enjoyed listening to Dave's melodies and was very excited to hear a few of his own material! The sing-alongs were absolutely a hoot! Dave is Very Talented! We are very pleased to have chosen Dave to play at our father's party! He was PERFECT!

Thank you for having me play at your anniversary party, Brenda. I'd love to see you all again.
Wow! Thanks for the fantastic entertainment and enjoyable experience. Dave played cover songs that were enjoyed by all, and even inspired some to take up the tambourine and play along with Dave. I received positive feedback from the restaurant owner and numerous patrons of the restaurant.
Dave was super easy to work with and professional from start to finish. He created an experience that I and my guests will remember forever! Thank you so much!

We booked Dave to play for Happy Hour on our patio. The weather was terribly hot that day, so we opted to move Dave inside. He was very accommodating and such a pleasure to have. His music is very talented and his music is fantastic. We will definitely have him back again!

Dave agreed to do our outdoor wedding awhile back. He kept in touch, communicated in a timely manner, and honored our requests. He had a beautiful voice. His guitar work was lovely and he was polite with guests. Would highly recommend him.
Acoustic Band, Singing Guitarist
We had a casual wedding reception at the Elmwood Park Pavilion and wanted someone to come and play music to add to the atmosphere. When I booked Dave, I didn't really think our guests would pay attention to him playing, I just wanted some background music. We received so many compliments on the music. A lot of people wanted to know who he was and how we found him. My son, a hard to please musician himself, was even impressed with my choice. Dave was very responsive to any text or email I sent and was a pleasure to work with. My only regret was that I was the bride and too busy to sit down and listen. Thank you Dave for a great reception! Kim

What to Expect
Dave Berman has a style that is at turns energetic, emotional, angry, elated, and just plain fun. Making creative use of vocal harmonizer and guitar effects that accompany him and loop his performance, Dave creates layers of sound that engage and entertain. He uses the harmonica as a lead instrument in melodies and solos.
When Dave plays, you can expect to hear cover songs from the 40's and 50's to modern artists and a wide range of original music. He can capture the audience with stories and jokes or provide the perfect background music for most occasions.
About
Dave Berman is a musician and singer/songwriter who has a style that makes familiar songs sound new and unfamiliar songs sound like old favorites. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Dave plays a mix of rootsy, acoustic music on guitar and harmonica from standards to rock and folk to punk.
Dave started playing ukulele at age 10, piano at 11, and guitar 13. He has played electric bass in Omaha cover bands for over 20 years. He learned to play harmonica from his father and continues to make that instrument an essential part of his repertoire. His go-to guitar is the same one he received as a gift from his wife and young son on Father’s Day, 1978.
In recent years, Dave has honed his solo performance at coffee houses, bars, and private parties. He is known in the local open mic scene for performing 8 complete songs in 15 minutes. His personal brand, Club Dave Music, is dedicated to making the live music experience fun and engaging for listeners and players. He also hosts an annual benefit house concert and plays bass guitar and harmonica and sings 60's and 70's cover music in the Happy Together Band.
Additional Booking Notes
If sound reinforcement is required, I bring a Fishman SoloAmp PA. I provide my own microphone, stand, and cables. Power requirements are only 2 110 AC outlets for the PA and pedal power source.
If sound is handled by the venue, I need only 1 vocal mic. My guitar has an active pickup, so it can go through a DI or straight to the mixer. My vocal/guitar effects pedal needs an XLR cable between the mic and pedal and 2 XLR cables between the pedal and PA. I can provide these.
