Colette O'Connor is a New England-based original singer, songwriter, and skilled acoustic guitarist “…like re-discovering the hey-day of classic singer-songwriter all over again.” – Pulse Magazine, "I Think I Am" 2016 CD of the Year. Her voice is rich and warm gentle folk, or strong with Jazzy Blues, & her guitarwork is amazing. O'Connor's music is refreshing, relaxing and re-charges eye-twinkles with an adventurous sense of fun. Great for all ages.
"Refreshing...beautifully unique." -Deb Andersen, KZUM FM, NE.
"Her performances are fun, funny, thought-provoking. Hypnotic voice, rich lyrics, smoking guitar, it's all there, and then some! "- Nick Noble, NPR station WICN FM, Worcester.
Colette has a fantastic voice and her guitar playing is incredible. For our wedding ceremony she learned three new songs and sang them with such emotion. Colette checked in with us often throughout the planning to be sure we were happy with her arrangements.
Colette is a true professional and highly skilled performer.
Response from Colette O'Connor:
Heartfelt thanks for letting me share in the honor of your most exquisite Wedding Day!
Collette was a crowd pleaser. Everyone had fun with Collette. She is the best!
Response from Colette O'Connor:
HUGE thank to you and all the Battleship Cove crew for allowing me the opportunity to bring your audience into 1940's Live Radio; on a real, historic, floating, Battleship no less!
Colette is a true professional. Her gift of music at my wife's surprise 50th birthday was the perfect touch to a milestone event. Colette is a loving soul and our guests enjoyed her music and stories.
Response from Colette O'Connor:
Being included as an integral part of such a special day was a privilege. Thank you.
Colette is a wonderful singer and guitarist and a delight to work with.
Collette did a great job for us.
The Staff at Battleship Cove would like to say that Collette and Mike completed our annual Navy Christmas Dinner. I personally booked Collette and don't know how I was so lucky, with all the musicians listed on GigSalad, to get such a perfect match for our event. Collette goes all out for her show with her attire and the stage set up, and then she gives it her all the entire time.

Smiles to you and your dream-team staff, from the street-front door all the way to the top of the Battleship! - Love, the review too! Sincerely, Colette O'Connor
Ive seen Colette perform many times and I’m always taken by the honesty and passion she puts in every original song that she sings!

This is where Jewel meets Bonnie Raitt, in Mr. Roger's Neighborhood.
Colette O'Connor performs best to listening audiences. It's most like watching a fascinating magic show. Her music is original (no covers) that are geared to entertain on many levels one needs to both see and hear. Her audience describes "mesmerizing," "uplifting," "delightful." When allowed to perform to a listening audience, O'Connor's musical storytelling revives heart, mind and re-charges eye-twinkles.
Born on San Diego Naval Base in California, Colette O'Connor was a young Massachusetts transplant. Like Jewel, her music is a delightful blend of sunshine, kindness, philosophy; O'Connor adds fun New England wit. Her lyrics use storytelling that comes from a desire to refocus kindness. The listener is encouraged to remember their inner child because, sometimes, eye-twinkles need re-charging. It helps that O'Connor's guitarwork is honestly magical. Her style incorporates genres styles, from Bonnie Raitt's jazzy-blues to Etta James; rockin' folk. Her guitar work weaves it all together.
O'Connor's album "I Think I Am" was named top among the 15 of 2016 by NPR station WICN FM 90.5 on The Folk Revival, Worcester, and nominated for Best CD 2016 Award at Worcester Music Awards. Her words have Soundtrack inclusion, along with Julian Lennon and Quincy Jones, in "One Little Finger, Movie" that premiered at the United Nations.

Hello, I’m here to help! I play acoustic guitar and sing original music.
If you work with me, you can expect my services will include:
1. One (1) JBL EON ONE 380w Portable Linear-array PA system with microphone and acoustic guitar. Set-up will require reasonable parking and advance access of one (1) hour, so as to be out of the way prior to guest access, and similar after event removal time. If venue WiFi signal is available, this unit can accommodate additional supplemental playlist/requests. OR I can also accommodate no power venues, as I have an alternative system that operates on batteries, is fully portable, (Roland Streetcube, 5 watt Amp.) which means it's good for small gatherings.
2. My professional best as an award-winning Singer-songwriter (Pulse Magazine, CD of the Year, 2016, Worcester Music Awards, NAPW Woman of The Year Circle).
This means fun but I also conduct myself as a substance-free, polite, thoughtful, professional asset to your event. You can expect my attire, language and behavior to be family friendly, in good taste, inclusive, polite, and appropriate to the event. If you have a theme in mind, please do let me know, upfront, so I can start working on what you would like. (Set list required 6 months prior to show date, or original music will be performed at my discretion.)
Normally I am booked as a singing songwriter that performs concerts of originals that I have the exclusive rights to. I can accommodate requests, if you provide a song list when you book the event, if you choose to book this event with me.
3. If COVID continues to be a concern in the future, I bring portable singer/crowd air-flow protection shields that will be used, and placed on the stage/premises. Do units have been approved by respiratory therapists as protective for singers and audiences and airflow exchange.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Just making sure this is honestly understood: Any song requests made are subject to my advance approval. However, as noted above, my JBL system is Bluetooth enabled, and so can accommodate playing additional songs from a playlist, so long as there is appropriate WiFi signal at the venue.
