Colonel Don Decker

I meet Kentucky Colonel Don Decker on 4th Street Live last night! He was very nice, professional, and taught me about Kentucky Colonels. (I was visiting from Missouri.) I would definitely like to see him again when I visit Louisville next! He made my night! Thank you!

My fiance and I ran into the Colonel while out and about at 4th Street Live. He was a really nice guy and was offering photos for free. He took 2-3 pictures of us. We admired his generosity and patience and kind spirit.

I was in Louisville for the Lightyear Wireless convention the weekend of August 13, 2011. After dinner, my companions and I took a walk on Fourth Street and encountered Colonel Sanders. Since I changed my last name to Sanders (after having worked at a KFC), I wanted to meet my namesake <Don Decker> and have my picture taken with him. He was very friendly and agreed to do so - for FREE! Since I only carry a credit card, I asked someone for cash and was able to give him a small tip, but I will never forget his kind and gentle spirit. His machine spit out a nice photo in 1 minute and he gave me instructions about how to download the photos online. Hopefully, I can figure out where to look...
