Celebrating life's changes by coming together through tradition and creativity.
A new baby, adoptions, birthdays, weddings, graduating, changing careers, and more. Life's phases deserve special attention and celebration to mark the next step along our journey through life. Come Together can help plan your celebration around a theme that reflects the personality of the life being celebrated.
Come Together will work with you to select a theme, plan activities, begin or carry-on traditions, and allow the gifts of both giving and receiving to nurture all of you.
Each event is created especially for you and is unique.

If you are interested in including Come Together in your celebration or event, please fill out the contact form and click "submit." Shannon will respond within 48 hours. We will set a time to meet in person, on the telephone, or through email.
The initial consultation is free (up to 60 minutes) and includes discussion of whether Come Together celebrations are a good fit for your event, examples of celebratory activities Come Together can provide, and possible themes. This is a great time to brainstorm. We'll also discuss sites, logistics, budget, and questions you may have. We'll then set up an agreement for services, time and place, and budget.
Once an agreement is set, Come Together requires a $60 deposit (check or cash only at this time) to proceed with research and creative activity planning. Shannon will present you with at least two options to choose from within one week of our initial meeting. These options may stimulate your own creative juices, and we can adjust the agreement and plans as necessary. Final approval of the plan is required no later than two weeks prior to the event to allow for ordering of any materials and final planning on the part of Come Together.
On the day of the event, Shannon will arrive with the materials and skills to help you pull off your creative and unique celebration that your guests and you will remember!
Come Together will help you create a unique experience for your transition to your next walk of life. I will work with you to develop a theme, activities that bring out the importance of the event and help you carry out your celebration.
Examples of Celebrations include the following and more!
Baby Showers: Instead of the same old baby shower games and blue and pink balloons, consider incorporating traditions from your heritage into your event. Friends and relatives of the new parents provide a critical support system and graciously share their energy and knowledge. Appreciate them through unique celebrations which include them as more than guests. Nature, art projects, memory books can add more meaning to this amazing life transition and create special bonds between the new family and guests. Think of the guests creating a special scrapbook just for the mom-to-be, investing their own time, energy and personal touch into a lasting memory.
Birthday Parties: Parties in a box based on popular themes generally use mostly throw away materials. Goody bags contain items that break easily or only add clutter, and they don't show the uniqueness and beauty of your child. Their costs, while initially seeming low, quickly add up.
My own children have created their own themes as well as having had party in a box birthdays. They're parties are most memorable when my children have helped create them. We have gone for archaeological digs using home-made maps and papier mache dinosaur bones, fought dragons for gems outside a huge castle made of cardboard boxes where all of the guests came dressed as knights and royalty and sent home the spoils of the hard-won battle.
Arts and Craft projects which the guests take home can provide a more satisfactory gift from the celebrant to his or her guests. Children can create a photo memory book of the event especially for the birthday boy or girl.
Bridal or Couple Showers: Instead of a wild bachelorette party, consider a more intimate celebration of this important life transition, recognizing the importance of support people in the lives of the couple to be married. Handmade creations just for them and by them will be cherished. A take home treasure for each guest continues the bonds.
Reunions: Consider designing and printing your own reunion t-shirt together. You can build a family album as a team, explore your connections by creating a village of your own making which brings your family closer together. How about a sculpture made by the children which travels from home-to-home and reunion to reunion?
Mediations: As a trained mediator, Shannon can help set the stage for coming together as one mind to resolve life's issues.
Retreats and Business Conferences will also be enhanced by Come Together!
