Overview
Conjunto Guarajuba grew up on classic Brazilian recordings of the 60s and 70s that evoke the sea, sun and good life. The trio conjures a lush sonic atmosphere that is highly danceable and enjoyable to listen to as well. We play all styles of Brazilian music from impressionistic and romantic Bossas to swinging Samba grooves to the Caribbean cadence characteristic of the Northeast and Amazonian sounds.

We held an event for my wife’s 40th birthday in S.F. of about 25 people. Conjunto Guarajuba played for us. It was awesome everybody loved it. Authentic Brazilian bossa nova and samba music. Felt like family came and played for us. Would 110% have them play again and again. Great communications in the lead up to the event too. Flexible and calm. Not needing a lot of handholding. Generous. All around great!!

Guara e Juba played at an intimate dinner for 25 close friends in a big barn in Napa and they were fabulous! A total pleasure to work with, super communicative and collaborative and completely elevated the event and set the vibe and the tone for the whole evening. Great repertoire of classic Bossa Nova music and sounded great. Plus just really nice guys. Highly recommend 5 stars!

The most beautiful Brazilian bossa nova jazz for our casual wedding. The band was cordial, punctual, professional, accommodating & played the most beautiful music for our special day. They were definitely a hit! Many wallflowers danced & the music set the tone for a casual, romantic evening. Will definitely hire them again, I highly recommend this band for any of your special events. :)

Andrew is a great singer/player, with a vast repertoire of real, authentic Bossa Nova music. The duo provided great music at my party, and all of my guests loved it. They played all the greatest songs of the greatest Bossa Nova artists.
They brought all the sound equipment, self managed themselves, took breaks at the right moments, mingled with the guests, played really great music perfect for inspiring the mood at the party.
Highly recommended. Everybody loved them. The were key for the success of the party.

Book Guará e Juba, you won't regret it! They arrived on-time and were so pleasant to have in our space. They felt more like old friends who happened to be wildly talented musicians than someone I had just booked. Their music was the perfect compliment to our summer soirée. It created such a magical atmosphere for my guests, so much so I actually extended their playing time! Would absolutely book again.

We have had many years of experience playing for everything from cocktail parties, to dinners and ceremonies. Every moment in the evening has its particular feeling and we never want to get in the way of that. We can adjust how we play to fit your special occasion and we pay careful attention to you and your guests.

The group consists of Andrew McKleroy (voice, guitar and percussion), David Copeland (8-String guitar and Cavaquinho) and David Eagle (percussion)
Additional Booking Notes
We will require 2 armless chairs with protection from the elements (shade umbrellas or heat lamps when appropriate)
Ideally you should provide AC power to our location for our PA system.
We prefer to be fed if the event is to take place during a meal, but don't require this. In any case we'd like to know in advance.
