I hired Crickett as one of the earlier acts for my 40th birthday celebration with adult guests in their 30s to 50s and kids under 18. Crickett delivered for all ages---smiles, laughs, wows, cheers, gasps, thrills, chills, and much more! Some of my friends' kids volunteered for some of the acts, and they were so delighted and entertained.

We were on the edge of our seats, stools, and toes wondering what fun surprise was next. Crickett kept us highly engaged, and we loved every minute of it and wanted more!

Crickett did my daughter-s 4th birthday and was great! He was easy to work with, didn't require anything from me to make work, and kept 12 4 year olds very entertained for 45 min (I was even able to have an adult conversation!)

We've been having our daughters birthday parties here at the house for the last 5 years and this last one was the best yet, all because of Crickett! He was amazing and entertained about 35 kids, ages 1-11, for an entire hour. The kids and adults enjoyed the show. He's also very professional and self sufficient.

Crickett was a huge hit at my daughter’s birthday party. He also worked really hard and just kept twisting, twisting, twisting amazing balloon creations. The kids basically spent the whole time lining up to get a balloon - and then lining up again to get another one. He was super patient and steady despite the chaos around him. Several parents commented that they want to hire him for their next party. In the future, I would have had a second entertainer, like a face painter or something (which was my original plan but I thought would be overkill). Just to break it up a bit so there wasn’t just one person working so hard the whole time!

What a great day to be a kid, or a kid at heart! Crickett came to town to visit us for my son's 3rd birthday. It was a hodgepodge of kids from 2 to 6, a tough audience for sure.
Crickett came well prepared and ready to captivate the kids for 30 full minutes. This gave a lot of parents a chance to breathe and stand back and watch the bubble lab. There were small bubbles, big bubbles, bubbles with smoke, bubbles inside bubbles and kids in bubbles. We will definitely consider Crickett for a future event, maybe balloons!

Crickett was on time and got right to work. He twisted non-stop for the full time booking. He was great with managing expectations and keeping the queue orderly! :-) While managing the throng of kids waiting for balloons, he even coached one of the older kids who was interested in learning in how to twist his own balloons.

We will absolutely be calling Crickett again for other events.

Crickett was incredible! Kept children and adults equally entertained for the entire hour. He brought so many good laughs to the room! The magic was age appropriate and the kids were in awe. Kept kids involved they enjoyed every second of it.

I booked Crickett for my daughter's 7th birthday party (September 2022). Communication with Crickett before the party was very smooth. Crickett arrived to the party early (he got there before we did!) and then twisted balloons for 2 hours straight! We had about 35 kids - mostly age 7/8 but with a handful of younger siblings mixed in. The kids loved talking to him and he was extremely polite and professional. The 2 hours were up but the kids saw that Crickett had his juggling props with him so, even though he needed to go, Crickett gave the kids a very cute quick juggling show - a huge hit. He was awesome. Highly recommend!

I didn’t know what to expect. This was going to be a low key birthday party at the park but Crickett came and turned it way up. It was epic. He was funny without being corny. And he had his own tunes and sound system. The kids loved playing with foam and being in a bubble and making their own bubbles at the end. I definitely recommend. I found the price high but I definitely think it is worth it!

We recently had Crickett come to our neighborhood 4th of July Parade and picnic. Everyone, including the adults, loved seeing Crickett lead our parade on stilts. He then entertained the kids with a great variety of balloon creations. Spiderman was a kid favorite for sure. He chatted with the kids while they waited for him to make each balloon creation. He really helped to make our event a fun and memorable experience. We'll definitely be using Crickett in the future!

Crickett was such sunshine during this challenging time. We laughed, were filled with awe, and cheered throughout the whole show. Crickett did a great job of adapting to the new way of doing things in a pandemic. We had a really fun afternoon and highly recommend him as an entertainer.

I booked Crickett (James McGrath) for my grand daughters 3rd Birthday celebration. With Covid still strong we weren’t sure if we were going to be able to get together, how many would come, and all previous plans were cancelled. At literally the last minute I found “GigSalad” and wanted to book a child’s entertainer, balloon tying etc. I did not expect to be able to book for anyone, again for covid and last minute. Literally as I closed the page I had a notification of a message with price quote from Crickett himself!! I was ecstatic feeling like the magic show had already started. By last minute I mean down to less than a week.
All the children loved the show some little ones didn’t catch everything or laughed/clapped at nothing. That’s the point !! He kept all ages entertained from 3yr old -75!!
Crickett is very talented attentive very polite young entertainer. He even stayed around a good 45 minutes after his show to entertain and mingle with the kiddos. They all felt like special superstars!! Would def recommend and use the service again myself.

Crickett was great for our daughter’s birthday party! He arrived early, was very patient with each kiddo, engaging, and talented. I would recommend him and had multiple other parents request his card to book for later parties.

We hired Crickett for a 7 year old's children party ( 20+ children). Crickett was onsite for 2.5 hours during which he did a variety act for a children combining bit of juggling, comedy, street performance and magic. This was followed by an hour plus of balloon artistry and was wrapped up by an outdoor fire performance. Cricket was a hit not just with the kids but with all of the adults.

Sadly Crickett had car problems that were out of his control and he could not make our event. But he offered to make up for our disappointment by doing a free show for us sometime in the future. That's the mark of a real professional, and we hope to be able to take him up on his generous offer.

Crickett was an excellent addition to my party. He showed up a bit early and immediately began circulating among the guests, even though his shift didn’t begin yet. He was great with both the children and the adults alike - balloons and magic for the kids, sideshow for the adults. Would hire again, and would definitely recommend.

Total disappointment. We had arranged a specific routine. The morning if the event he said he didn’t have time to organize it so he was going to do something else. I canceled. Had no time get a substitute. Don’t trust this guy.

I highly recommend Crickett for any event with large number of children (50+). We hired him for a show as part of our science camp. He brought in his Bubbles Show, in which he demonstrated water tension and other fun science concepts over a period of 45 minutes to a group of more than 50 children, ages 3-9 years old. They were amused and kept their focus, all while having fun. It was an interactive show, so children took part in it as well. It can easily compete with mad science shows. He's funny, entertaining, and a great performer. We would love to have him back!

Cricket was professional and easy to work with. His fire juggling and eating was fun and guests enjoyed it. Make sure you have enough space inside for him to work. Our space was a little tight so he could really only do stuff outside so we didn't really get as much out of it as we could have because he could only stay outside for so long in the cold.

He was great with the boys, and the parents were totally into the show too. He put on a comedy magic show, and he ate fire!!!!! Yes, you heard me correctly,he ate fire! How awesome is that?! He is very good at what he does, and can fine-tune the show to whatever you want it to be. After the show he stayed around and made every child a balloon animal. These balloons by themselves were worth every penny. They were not just balloon animals, I saw kids walking by with Darth Vader hats. Like Darth Vader holding a light saber 😱 oh my goodness Amazing!!!!!! You will not go wrong by hiring Crickett. He was so great, we actually booked him again for our Elementary school spring carnival. If you get to read this Crickett, thank you again, you were fantastic. If you're looking for a fun, exciting and entertaining show with magic & juggling, then Cricket is your guy. His balloon twisting skills are top notch as well! He was twisting balloons into things we had never seen before- the kids were amazed!

I would definitely hire Crickett again. His show was brilliant and everybody just loved him. From an event planner's perspective: he was on time, professional, and offered great value. From a mom/hostess perspective, seeing the delight on all my guests faces was absolute gold. Don't hesitate to hire Crickett -- he delivers! How many entertainers can capably entertain the 4 year old through the 70 year old with skill, aplomb, good grace and leave every one of them gasping with amazement? Well, Crickett can.

Communication leading up to our event was wonderful, he was timely, costume was great (Uncle Sam), and our Corporate attendees loved him! Would definitely hire him again.

I Believe Crickett would do best with just all kids. He did great keeping the 2 kids entertained at my daughter's birthday. I had more adults and just like a few kids and I believe the adults were bored. I had face painting, balloon twisting and a magic show. The magic show was probably the best part but only 30 mins. I was kinda hoping for more engagement from him with the adults guests but maybe I might have not communicated that correctly so I believe It was a bit overpriced for my situation. He was really friendly and nice so props on that 😊

Crickett's performance was fun and tailored beautifully to our audience -- elementary school children and their parents. His sense of humor captivated young and old alike. We really appreciated the extra time he took after his show to work with a horde of students who wanted to learn to juggle.

We had a circus theme event for over 300 children and Crickett was very happy and friendly with the children. You could tell he enjoyed being with the children as he walked around on his stilts. No fake persona. He arrived ahead of schedule and the stilt walking was just as we planned. He engaged with the children, asked open-ended questions, and took lots of photos without being prompted. Very Professional! Would definitely hire again!

His performance fantastic for espeacially for kids

I have opted Crickett after looking at the reviews in Gig salad. I think it was a wrong decision that I made. I have clearly mentioned what I was expecting for the party but he performed completely differently.I clearly mentioned that I am not looking for painting stuff and more on kids interative events. He spent most of time painting on the hands of kids and hardly performed anything. He was unsuccessfully grabbing the crowd, voice was not loud. We asked him to dress as a clown but he showed up just casual with no make up at all. He came to us that he was done with the show but we didn't see anything that engaged the guests completely. He just did the same type of balloons for everyone that too only for few kids. We felt like we wasted such a huge amount just for nothing. Worst experience i ever had and will never go with Gig salad again.I don't recommend him.

We had a circus themed birthday party and had all the decorations and food in place. We found Crickett on gigsalad and only communicated two or three times prior to the event; not because he wasn't available, but because we felt comfortable that he knew exactly what we wanted. Crickett showed up on time and ready to perform. He tailored the performance to what we requested and everyone, even the parents really enjoyed it. His juggling skills are amazing, comedy is funny and appropriate for all ages, and his ability to interact with kids was phenomenal. The kids even wanted to follow him to his car. He made balloon animals for every child and even stayed late to make new one after some of the kids popped them. In summary: Great perfomer, easy to communicate with ahead of time, able to adjust his performance with ease when schedules change during the party. Very affordable. We could not have been happier. I hired Crickett to come to our after school program for International Juggler's Day. He did a phenomenal job getting the children involved in his routine. After the routine, he let the children practice juggling with the different things he had brought....scarves, sticks, balls, the Chinese yo-yo. I hired Crickett (James) to perform in a vaudeville/cabaret style show at a convention in Washington DC. He came highly recommended by another performer and didn’t disappoint. In talking with him about ways to further bring out the sideshow/circus theme of the weekend, he suggested an outdoor fire performance, which certainly delighted our members.
