Dan Peart lives to play and sing music as an upbeat artist, entertaining with well seasoned experience and skill as if he is everyone's brother or favorite uncle.
Dan has performed as a solo at The Troubadour in Los Angeles and Gerdes Folk City in New York, where a review from Robert Shelton of the NY Times catapulted Bob Dylan to Columbia Records and a lifelong career.
Reading, writing, traveling coast-to-coast as a solo performer or as part of touring bands in the 90's, playing Top 40 Country or Classic Rock in dance halls from New York City to San Francisco, Dallas, Denver, Chicago, Minneapolis, Nashville and too many points in between to mention, Dan Peart has also worked several day jobs to keep plugging forward as a viable singer/songwriter entertertainer.
Currently working three jobs (Music, Roofing Sales plus fresh roasting small batches of international coffees for local charities or farmer's markets) ; maintaining a family; while performing three or more times a week, makes for very busy cycles of juggling personal and professional time. Doing every aspect of imaginative creativity, along with adapting new technology trends of social media to market commercial performances are the tasks of several individual's career functions for just one person to continue achieving with a smile. It's all part of the living a dream-come-true life.
Being in a motorcycle crash May 18th, 2016 was nearly deadly, but Dan Peart survived with a serious concussion, etc., and played three nights later. With an even greater appreciation, each show, each song and the interaction between Dan and his audience reflects genuine fun, happy celebrations of the right now moment.
Paying homage to his favorite recording artists, Dan interlaces the best mix of specific covers from The Beatles to Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Bob Seger, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, James Taylor and Neil Young, along with several other unique selections to "set up" audiences for equally tasty originals all day long.
In informal, intimate settings, Dan reaches out for favorite artist requests which are always engaging and mutually appreciated.
For the previous decades, Dan's singing/songwriting success has grown exponentially with his instrumental skills and lyrics interacting with audience members enhanced desires to be entertained.
2008's "Truth Be Told" CD catapulted Dan Peart forward as a voice to be taken seriously among the throng of acts vying to be heard. "Truth Be Told" is 14 solid songs from: "Hallelujah!" [NOT Leonard Cohen's], "I Feel Better!", "Mississippi Mud", "Yeah, Right!", etc., to "...Isn't That The Truth".
2012's "really" CD was no sophomore jynx. The strength of content from "So Many Ways" to "We're Gonna Be Sorry" is undeniable for it's material which towers lyrically and sonically even in a solo live acoustic unplugged environment.
Studio time has been booked in March 2017 to record his most recently written songs which are being very well received in current live performances.
