If you are looking for something unique to make your event stand out, then look no further. The Daniel Patrick Trio delivers a Lowcountry vibe that is fitting to your event here in Charleston and the surrounding areas. Traditional instrumentation of mandolin, upright bass, and acoustic guitar playing everything from old school bluegrass, to 80's hits that you know all the words to, all the way up to hits of today. We've got you covered. We can provide background music or we can get your event up and stomping along. We also have solo and duo versions of the band available if you are looking for something extra intimate. See why we play 250 shows a year!
We hired Daniel Patrick for my husband's birthday party, and he and his band exceeded all expectations. Music was perfect and they were easy to work with. Will hire again for the next party!
Perfect group for our event. Daniel and his guys were a big plus for our party. They knew when to be the chill background music and when to light the crowd up. What a special sound. Their broad range of songs done in an acoustic bluegrass style was excellent. Our crowd did not want them to leave!
Thanks Daniel Patrick Band.
Excellent versatile musicians! They are easy to work with and very talented. I would definitely hire them again.
Absolutely amazing! These guys were awesome!! So easy to work with, showed up early for set up, easy going, funny, but just hands down you have got to see these guys perform we will be following them around town from now on! Thank you guys so much for such a great night!
Great band, and easy to work with! They had a tremendous variety of music that was perfect for all ages!

You tell us what you what, and we will deliver. In the past few years I have played small weddings on the beach, weddings on docks, rehearsal dinners on the harbor, wild receptions on a boat, wine events on the steps of a Charleston historical home, and a tree house for a family that owns a NFL football team. I play with some of the best musicians in the country right here in Charleston and am able to accomodate what ever type of combo you would like.
Hey there! This is Daniel and I want to thank you for checking out my page!
I have been playing music for a majority of my life and in the past few years have put together Daniel Patrick and New Ghost Town with some of the finest musicians in the Charleston area. While the trio is the most popular booking I use. I also can play solo or put together a duo or quartet for you as well.
In 2024 I had my first Billboard Charting album. The album "Around the Clock" charted at #6 on the Billboard Bluegrass Top Ten album chart, my podcast called "Mandolins and Beer" passed the 2,000,000 download mark and I had a 6 page feature article in the highly esteemed Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine.
To give you a quick background on our band. We’ve been a main stage act at the Charleston bluegrass festival for the past few years. We’ve headlined major Charleston events like The Boone Hall Oyster Festival (10,000 people) Party at the Point , SEWE in Marion Square and the Charleston Food and Wine festival. We’ve also headlined at the Windjammer and The Charleston Music Hall. We’ve also played multiple private events for Television show cast and wrap parties for shows such as Fear of the Walking Dead, Southern Charm, Top Chef and The Outerbanks as well as corporate events for companies such as Ford, Home Depot, Carolina One, The City of Greenville, etc.
We also play as the house band at Prohibition in downtown Charleston on King street every Saturday and Sunday. We play everything from Old school Bluegrass, to 70s, 80s, 90s, to Post Malone. We average 200+ gigs a year and play 100 events a year.
We provide our own sound system and lights for our events, unless you are putting on a Steve Jobs style stadium sized event. If that is the case, we will provide you a gear list.

For most events, we perform a random mix of the songs listed below. We have years of experience and one of the areas we pride ourselves on is being able to read the crowd. I've broken the songs down into 3 lists. 1980's, Bluegrass, and The Rest. Feel free to pick any songs off of these lists you'd like to hear! Is there something you don't see, we will learn it for you. (1-3 songs per event)
PS This list is a little overwhelming. I can send you PDF Breakdowns.
