Darling Darla James

Hailing from New Orleans, The Sideshow Showgirl, Darling Darla James is a multifaceted entertainer born from the supply closet mishap of a professional pianist and a prima ballerina. She is most known for her slow and slinky spin on Grinder Girl, but also features an array of traditional sideshow working acts such as fire and glass eating, a vanity chair of nails and a ladder of seven deadly machetes in addition to classic and neo-burlesque and circus variety numbers not limited to hula hoops and tissue juggling. Miss James is a teacher at The New Orleans School of Burlesque and the producer of Circus Darling and Imposters Burlesque. She has graced the stages of Snake Oil Festival, Risq, The Blue Book Cabaret, The Dirty Dime Peepshow, Whiskey & Rhinestones, Cirque d’Licious, Slow Burn Burlesque and Big Deal Burlesque.
