My personal journey of family and historical discovery that led me to write the story of heroic men of our Greatest Generation. In 2017 Hollywood Actor/Producer Wilmer Valderrama's production company obtained the film rights to my book. I have been a speaker at universities, high schools, historical museums, corporate events, Keynote Speaker at the LULAC National Convention, 2019 Keynote Speaker at California Council for Social Studies Conference.

As the writer and author of a true WWII story that centers on the lives of young Mexican Americans that were segregated and were part of this country's Greatest Generation. Dave shares his journey of discovery and historical value in not only writing their story but also connecting with over 50 different families of the men that served in the unit. The audience will be taken back in time through visual pictures as they see the young faces of heroic men that served our country when our country needed them the most. The audience will follow these courageous men from the barrios of Texas to some of the most horrific battles of WWII. It is truly a part of WWII history that most of America is unfamiliar with.
Dave Gutierrez is a writer and author of the book PATRIOTS From The BARRIO. His articles have been published in military publications that include the 36th Division Association, War History Online, and The American Legion. Dave and his family reside in San Jose California
