Dave Lagadi has performed as a guitarist and singer since he was twelve. He has played as a soloist and in a variety of bands beginning in Dallas then Alaska, Florida and now Winston-Salem and Western, North Carolina.
He performs solo or as a trio many genres from folk, classic country, rock, and is well known for elegantly performing the timeless jazz standards by such greats as Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé, Bobby Darin, Tony Bennett and Nat King Cole. His music is a perfect complement for fine dining restaurants, country clubs, weddings, concerts, retirement community events, corporate and home events . Dave's excellent testimonials can be viewed on his website.
I'm the Activity Director at a Assisted and Independent Living community, my residents eye light up when Dave Lagadi performs. The songs he performs are perfect for this demographic, his tone, musical talent are worth tuning in for. True talent and great person to work with!

Thank you Christiana for a glowing review! Your community is pleasure to perform for and I appreciate the opportunity to be part of the activity program.
Dave played great music for our mountain House Rehearsal Dinner Party! I loved how he set up his equipment and got right into some beautiful guitar music. Perfect for the atmosphere we were trying to create. We were all singing along at the end of the night. So much fun! Would highly recommend!
Response from Dave Lagadi Music:
Christine, thank you for your kind and generous review of my music services. You, your family and friends were a genuine pleasure to entertain.
BTW, thank you for the parting gift of delicious barbecue sandwiches, enough for my entire family!

Hello, I'm Dave Lagadi,
I've been playing guitar and singing since the age of 12 and was fortunate to grow up during a period that produced some of the best music that is still popular today by such artists as the Beetles, Elvis, Sinatra, Chad and Jeremy, Bobby Darin, Jim Croce, Tony Bennett, George Strait and Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and many, many others of the 60's through the 90's.
My branding is "Elegant Music" which requires discipline and consistent rehearsing and selecting songs that appeal to the masses, not just one select demographic.
I am a performer who pays attention and takes note when the client or client's representative communicates what they envision the event to be in regards to the music. Many times the music is expected to support the theme of the event which is an area I can draw from my many years of experience and a huge repertoire to ensure a successful outcome. On the other hand, If the client just wants a combination of music to appeal to their entire group, I follow an example of the most successful television programs we watched at home like the Ed Sulivan show where you enjoyed several styles of music from the most popular artists during that time. An example would be a variety of popular, classic country, smooth jazz, jazz standards, blues, big band, and requests. Regardless of style or genre I try to select songs everyone is familiar with and were huge successes rendering them timeless treasures and most likely in the Great American Songbook. I seldom have a complaint that my music selection doesn't appeal the masses.
Weddings:
I earned 5 Stars across the board with Wedding Wire as a Ceremony musician. My song list of love songs is huge and should the couple have a special request for songs that aren't in my repertoire, I'm happy to learn them and rehearse them for that special day.
Ceremony Music: The music you select for the prelude portion (waiting for the bride to appear) is very important because the age group of the attendees will range from grandchildren to great grandparents and all in between. I recommend familiar love songs that will re-kindle warm memories of the attendees' own weddings that took place years before, and the pleasant melodies will please the young and keep them from, becoming bored.
Holiday Events:
I have a special show for most of the holidays such as Christmas where I perform many the songs we enjoyed on the Andy Williams Christmas Programs. Valentines Day is one of my specialties, I usually perform in a romantic restaurant and place table tents on each table with a list of the best love songs to select from and dedicate to their companion making that evening even more special. As a veteran I have a special song list for all the patriotic holidays that includes all the familiar songs we grew up with including the Battle of New Orleans which everyone joins in on. For St. Patric's Day I play many favorite sing alongs that everyone enjoys even if they're not Irish.
Dining and Beverage Venues:
I have considerable experience providing music in venues that serve food and drink and learned that most patrons aren't there for a concert and are put off when the musician or band is so loud that they can't communicate with each other and, in some cases; the servers find it difficult to take their orders. My approach is to read the crowd and determine what is appropriate, i.e., soft mingle music if they're all engaged in conversation or lively higher volume if all eyes are on me. I place attractive table tents on each table that tells a little about me and has a song list of a variety of music styles for them to choose to hear and it helps their dining experience to become more special by hearing a favorite song or two.
Generally, I perform as a solo artist but my guitar playing style is such where it sounds like multiple guitars. I have found that this arrangement is financially more beneficial to the client when their event is smaller as well as their budget. But, you'll be surprised how big I can sound, especially playing the big band songs where you normally expect to hear horns and lots of percussion.
If hiring multiple musicians is the best choice, I have a professional fellowship with some of the most talented musicians in Western North Carolina which enables me to assemble anywhere from a duet to a quartet enabling me to play large wedding receptions, larger corporate events and concerts in large indoor and outdoor venues where a fuller sound is more practical.
Whatever your need is, I'd appreciate the opportunity to discuss it with you and if we discover you'd be better served by a different provider, I will be delighted to make an educated recommendation to save you the trouble of researching on your own.
