Critically acclaimed and award-winning Singer-Songwriter Dave Tate’s soulful music combines dynamic vocals with intimate acoustic guitar to present a unique and introspective indie-folk sound. From Sometimes high and soaring, sometimes hushed and inviting, Tate’s heartfelt voice weaves his poetic lyrics through soundscapes of finger-style acoustic guitar and percussive rhythms. Newly relocated to the Central Coast of California, Tate is a native of the red rock desert of Zion National Park. Tate’s music has often been inspired by the towering beauty of his red rock mountain homeland and is now inspired by the vast horizons of the Central Coast.

Performances often include a mix of intimate folk, and upbeat acoustic pop/rock originals as well as classic and modern singer/songwriter covers. Tate regularly performs 150+ shows per year. He has toured across the Western United States and in Europe on numerous occasions and his work was recently featured in a global on-flight commercial on all American Airlines international flights. Living in Austin, Portland, Salt Lake, Tucson, and Zion National Park as he developed his craft, Tate has released 14 studio albums, 9 of which are currently available.

Purchaser shall provide reliable power, or extension cord no more than 20” from artist for high wattage amplifiers/PA system. Purchaser shall provide and a flat area 10X10’ minimum of space for artist to perform. Purchaser shall provide protection from the elements (high winds, rain, snow, etc. heat in excess of 90 degrees). In excessive heat performance conditions (above 85 degrees) purchaser shall provide shade for the artist and the artist’s equipment. In excessive cold performance conditions (below 55 degrees) purchaser shall provide a space heater, or gas heater for the artist. If the event is cancelled due to weather conditions no refund will be given, except at the sole discretion of the artist. Please have an alternate space at the venue ready in case of bad weather. It is up to the sole discretion of the artist as to whether or not he/she can continue to perform in bad weather.
