We are City Vancouver Academy High School. We have David in for our summer camp program.He gave insightful comments and suggestions to help our students significantly improve their speaking skills in a short time.David's ability to quickly assess each student’s strengths and areas for growth was impressive, and their encouragement boosted everyone’s confidence. We’re grateful for their contribution and hope to work with them again!

When I first approached about running for Mayor, one of the things that made me most nervous was the thought that between speeches at community and media events and running meetings, I’d have to do a lot of public speaking. As a small business owner and introvert, this has never been my comfort zone.

Once elected, I started working with David and he has helped me become more at ease with speaking publicly by providing me with suggestions and tools to help me navigate a variety of speaking situations so that I’m clear, comfortable and confident in what I’m saying. In a municipality, I’m fortunate to have help from communications staff with drafting speeches, but how I show up is on me, and David’s support with that has really helped me become more confident and comfortable in this public-facing role. He has given me tools to assist me on communicating authentically and concisely.

David Fisher provided our team with a captivating afternoon filled with personal stories, strategies for communicating more effectively, and challenges to improve organizational structure. He made the message personalized to our context, knowledge which he acquired through personal interaction with our team right up to the time he began speaking. I have had the chance to get to know David through the various workshops he has provided for our programs at Progressive Intercultural Community Services Society (PICS).
