You can expect to hear familiar hits and compelling deep cuts and originals performed with a deft hand and an open heart. I only play songs that move me, and I have found this is an important element in moving an audience. I love the storytelling aspect of a well written song, and I perform as a story-teller whether I preface the song with spoken word or not.
David Flett is a story-teller who isn't afraid to get lost in the story lines and characters of a song and feel it afresh each time he plays it. He uses the guitar as much as his voice to nuance the mood and flow of a song and draw listeners into a shared experience of beauty and emotion.
