David Wilson

For 22-year-old musician and producer David Wilson, music has always been an
expressive outlet and everyday stress reliever. Despite developing a love for music at an
early age, Wilson did not always plan to pursue a career within the music industry. Born
and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, he initially dreamed of a career in sports. Wilson
played football and ran outdoor track until high school, but an affinity for poetry and
longtime love of music developed into career aspirations.
Wanting to escape his comfort zone, Wilson moved to Orlando, Florida, where he
earned a bachelor’s degree in music business from Full Sail University. As a member of
the Music Biz Association, he has used his experiences to gain the skills that will make
him a standout in the music industry. In his spare time, Wilson enjoys playing
instruments such as the piano and acoustic guitar, as well as learning to use new tools and
software.
Drawing inspiration from a wide range of musical genres as well as his
experiences growing up and in college, Wilson hopes to reach an audience of young
adults like himself. He uses music tell stories of everyday struggle, doubt and selfassurance.
Songs like “Can’t Complain,” “FEEL” and “Collections” reflect such themes.
As a young musician and producer, Wilson has created a fan base that continues
to grow. He has appeared in a POWER 95.3 “Who’s Next? Freestyle Friday” video,
which has more than 2,000 views on Facebook.
