About
An international EDM DJ and Producer, Dayah Modo calls New York City home by way of Europe. When she’s not performing in her dazzling mirrored costumes she spends time in her home studio creating hypnotic deep house and electronic music.
A spin-off of the Japanese word for diamond, Dayah Modo landed in New York in 2013 after spending over a decade touring Europe as a singer. In 2020 Dayah Modo decided to reignite her music career, this time as a DJ with an anonymous persona inspired by musical influence Daft Punk.
Under the tutelage of hip-hop legend DJ Dummy the Genius, Dayah Modo fearlessly followed her dream of learning to DJ during the pandemic and within a few months was already producing music. After releasing her first single ‘Pink Sea’ in 2021 to positive reception Dayah Modo continues to explore and expand the electronic music genre bringing all the downtempo and chill vibes from her uniquely eclectic perspective.
