Thanks so much

We greatly appreciate you playing at our wedding. It wouldn’t have been the same without you. Our guests only had compliments as far as the music.
Dayan dealt with our last minute changes like a champ and absolutely was fantastic. Couldn’t have asked more from him. Only regret we have is not actually meeting him since everything in the wedding happened so fast.
Thank you Dayan for making this huge event so special for both of us!!!!
Dayan was an integral part in making my wedding day so special. He was able to take every request we made and make it beautiful. I will always remember this day and the beautiful sounds of Dayan!
Dayan played the ukulele and sang for my son and new daughter-in-law's beach wedding. We were so fortunate that our timing coincided with his, and our last minute requests were welcomed.
Dayan did a wonderful job! I would recommend his talents to everyone and would most definitely hire him again!
Thank you, Dayan, for helping to make our special day memorable.
What comes out of an instrument is what’s inside the musician’s heart. That’s why you want Dayan to perform at your function, especially a wedding. Though he looks like a handsome and casual California surfer, he’s Maui through and through and a consumate professional that is in high demand. ( In his role as musical director at the renowned Burnin’ Love show, he often plays several instruments in one song.) His bio mentions that he was born without sight but that is just ‘eye’ sight. He ‘sees’ more than most of us and travels freely to jobs and regular gigs around the islands and California. He’s in demand as a musician’s musician, but if you are lucky that he’s available for your function, I think you will find as I did, that the value you receive will be big and full of genuine Aloha. I recommend meeting with him and discussing your specific musical needs. Then you will feel confident that he is the guy you want putting down the positive vibes for your special day.
This man is multitalented! I saw him at the Burn’N Love Elvis Tribute, and he was fantastic. He played the keyboard, and multiple other instruments throughout the performance.
He also provided backup vocals and had a beautiful voice! I couldn’t believe the skillset of him, he is a one man show. 10/10
Dayan Kai is a singular musician. He a phenomenal as an artist. Not many are blessed with this level of talent. An absolute pleasure musically and personally❤️. A treasure.
Dayan - what to say about him. We've seen him at Burn'n Love several times and as the music director he keeps everyone in line. He can play most all instruments but my husbands favorite is the Box Drum. He plays saxaphone, flute, harmonica, steel guitar and of course the keyboards there. He also writes his own music and sings it as well. He can play any kind of music and does so at many different places. He is a must see to believe his talent.
Dayan Kai is a multi-talented performing artist. He is the Musical Director of Burn’n Love, Maui, Hawaii.
As I watched the show I couldn’t help but notice Dayan as he played the keyboards. It all seemed so effortless for him. During the show he also played tenor saxophone, flute, harmonica, Cajon box drum and steel guitar as well as performing as a backup singer.
I also enjoyed Dayan as he performed solo in a lounge setting. He could play jazz, the old standards, rock, almost anything you could request.
Would there even be entertainment without music? Music is good for the body and soul – you’ll discover this listening to Dayan Kai either live or on one of his CDs.
How would you define MUSICIAN? The dictionary defines it as
(n) a person who makes music a profession, especially as a performer of music or any person, whether professional or not, skilled in music.
While this is a good definition it doesn’t completely describe Dayan Kai. He is a musician extraordinaire – name an instrument, any instrument, and he can play it. Name a song – he knows it. He is also an established composer with a number of CDs available. But that’s not the end of his talent – he has a beautiful voice.
Dayan performs at the Burn’n Love show, Maui Theatre in Lahaina, and at the Cane & Canoe in Kapalua, Maui.
I've had the pleasure of producing several concerns over the years that included Dayan Kai ... and even hosted a house concert with him as well. When asked how many instruments Dayan plays, he's been known to modestly reply, "I don't know, I haven't played them all yet." He is equally adept on acoustic guitar, electric guitar, mandolin, saxophone, clarinet, flute, drums and I'm sure a dozen more I've not yet seen. But his truest gifts are his voice and his penchant for songwriting. He is deep (spiritually as well as in tone), soulful, funny, witty, and playful. He's a whole show unto himself but also sings and plays beautifully as a compliment to any of his many musical friends. If you've never taken a chance on Dayan, I strongly recommend you give him a shot. You will not regret it and you'll be back to see him again, as have most of us!
I have had the pleasure of playing with Dayan a few times. He is virtuosic AND tasteful, always contributes to the song and is great to work with. Highly recommended.
Dayan once lived in Spokane, WA where he played as a solo act and with a variety of combos and bands. As a performer, he moves audiences. As a bandmate, he holds the show together and pushes the band to be the best it can be. What's really remarkable about Dayan is his ability to move from one genre to the next, from early jazz to folk to modern jazz, rock, blues, and beyond. His talent seems limitless.
It may have been longer than 11 years since I first watched and heard Dayan perform in Fernie, B.C. The melodies he played on guitar, clarinet and flute (and numerous other instruments) still resonate in my memory. I listen to him play regularly via internet and I look forward to seeing him in a live show at least one more time in my life.
One can feel the soul of his voice bring meaning to the words he sings.
Purely amazing!
