Dayvito is a bold, unashamed Christian Rapper. He believes that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and that salvation is for everyone. Regardless of race, background, lifestyle, or gender, Jesus loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you. Dayvito has a passion for teens and young adults. His powerful testimony has made an impact in many people's lives and has led young men and women to Christ. Dayvito understands that music is just a platform and that God has given him the gift of rap to be able to reach people who are deemed "unreachable" He has released hit singles like "Jesus Freak" and "24/7". Dayvito understands the only way to lead, is to serve. God bless.
His music got me thinking about how everyday, I struggle with living a Godly life and telling people about what He's done for me. And one of his songs (the one about his sister) helped me understand that I don't need a boyfriend. Nor is it required of me to get married as Paul has stated in the Bible.
If Dayvito is reading this, thank you for coming to Calvary Chapel of Clayton.

A high energy, heart pounding, head bumping Jesus experience. Dayvito doesn't disappoint. His music is modern, creative, and jam packed with punchlines that are designed to exalt Jesus and make you "turn up". Between songs Dayvito always takes time to minister to the people in attendance and always ends his show with an altar call. Dayvito has a heart for God and it's evident everytime he hits the stage. Young people love how he uses his gift to honor God and still put on a professional concert experience.
Dayvito was born and raised in church. Ever since he could remember the Word of God was poured into him and he knew about Jesus Christ. He grew up in Oklahoma with his other siblings and extended family members. His father was a God fearing man but would physically and verbally abuse him when he was a child. When Dayvito was 12 years old, his father accepted his call to be a pastor and they moved to Naples, FL to start a hispanic church. It was there that Dayvito's love for Hip-Hop began. Once he heard Jay-Z's "Hard Knock Life" he became obsessed with Hip-Hop culture, history, and lifestyle. He used music as an outlet to escape his reality and began writing about life and his experiences through rhymes. They lived in Florida for 3 years and as he got older he began to drift away from God, the church, and his family. His father began to physically abuse him again and he was becoming violent. Sensing a need for change, his family decided to move back to Oklahoma in the summer of 2001. Dayvito began attending church again and was very active in the youth group. Dayvito was different. His love for Hip-Hop was evident in the way he dressed, the way he spoke, and the way he carried himself. His pastor was against it and prevented Dayvito from using his gift within the church. Hip-Hop was not only accepted but it was viewed as a tool of the devil in the church's eyes. Dayvito was disciplined, persecuted, and embarrassed by the church. His own family viewed him as a "black sheep" No one was their to mold him, teach him, or encourage him to serve God whole heartedly. After many incidences in the church, Dayvito left the church completely and went to the world. Dayvito battled drug addiction, incarceration, fights, alcoholism, and fornication. He became addicted to pornography, clubs, and parties. His life was out of control. At the age of 18 he overdosed on methamphetamines and almost died on his way to the hospital. By the grace of God, he lived and immediately checked into rehab for treatment of drug addiction and alcoholism. He changed his life temporarily but he refused to go back to church. He continued to get high, smoke cigarettes, and drink alcohol. This lifestyle led to him being homeless in the streets of Florida. Enough was enough, Dayvito joined the United States Army in hopes of changing his life for good. He knew that if he continued going down the road he was on he would be dead or in prison. He got married and started a family of his own shortly after that but still didn't have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He continued to party, he continued to do drugs, and he continued to run from the call of God. His marriage was in shambles and he tried to fix things by going to church and fixing his life but he wasn't devoted or committed to living fully for Christ. His divorce left him feeling like God didn't care. He felt like a failure and went back to drugs, alcohol, and women to numb the pain. His love for Hip-Hop never left him. It was the only constant in his life. After 5 years away from home, Dayvito went back to Oklahoma and began attending his Aunt's church. God starting healing his wounds, cleaning him up, and calling him to ministry. Dayvito wanted to go "all in" but was still in love with smoking marijuana, drinking, and smoking cigarettes. He met Kre8tor in the summer of 2012 and together with his uncle, MES, they began to mentor, encourage, and pour in to Dayvito. 7 years after Dayvito left the church, he came back home. Dayvito recommitted his life to God. He answered the call and quit smoking, drinking, and partying. He released his first album "The Road Called Life" in March 2013 and has traveled throughout the country sharing his testimony and using his music to get the message of Jesus Christ to a nation endangered. Dayvito is currently working on his sophomore album "More Than Music" with hit singles "Jesus Freak" and "24/7" already creating a buzz on Christian websites and radio stations such as Rapzilla, JamTheHype, Trackstarz and many more. Dayvito is married with 3 kids and currently lives in North Carolina. The road has not been easy but through God's grace, mercy, and unconditional love, he has been saved and transformed. All glory, praise, and honor go to God almighty. The great I Am.
