Dead Earth Band

Dead Earth is a diverse metal band hailing from Cleveland, Ohio and Philadelphia, PA. We mix many forms of metal in our own unique way. The band brings fierce riffs, aggressive vocals, and powerful grooves. We bring intensity and power that the crowd will feel the minute we hit the stage. We will hold our own on any stage, with any Metal band, ANYTIME!!! Dead Earth features former Merauder (Brooklyn, NY) guitarist Ernesto Colon, former At No End vocalist Jack Sabolich, Mutual Hostility guitarist Dan Gates, 72 Legions drummer Colton Zeitler, and former Dose bassist Mike Marczak.

Dead Earth was formed in November of 2017 by singer Jack Sabolich. The name Dead Earth came about after Jack took a drive through the city and seen all the trash on the side of the road, all while jamming the Black Sabbath song "Wicked World". It was the perfect name, a wake up call and a reminder of what we as humans are doing to our planet, and how ruthless the human race can be towards one another.

It took quite some time and many many tryouts to solidify a lineup in 2018 that included Eric Jankowski on guitar, Mark Hardy guitar, Bob Semancick on bass, and Brian Shea on drums. The band would record it's first 6 song EP entitled Pollution a few months into their existence, at Mercinary Studios in March of 2018 and release it in July of 2018. The same lineup would then continue to write and play a very busy schedule of shows throughout 2018. In April of 2019 the band would return to Mercinary Studios to record the full length album entitled Truth Hammer. The full length was released in August of 2019 and in October 2019 the band parted ways with guitarist Eric Jankowski and drummer Brian Shea, and replaced them with guitarist Joe DeFrank and drummer Matthew Kollar.

2020 hit the band pretty hard with everything shutting down due to COVID and the departure of bassist Bob Semancik and lead guitarist Mark Hardy, led to another lineup change. However, Dead Earth didn't quit and would continue on with singer Jack Sabolich, guitarist Joe DeFrank, drummer Matthew Kollar, and the addition of former Sappy Bell bassist (and fellow band mate of Matthew Kollar) Jeff Ready. The band continued to write new songs and developed a much heavier, thrash sound, and a new found energy that was not yet unleashed on the previous releases. In June of 2021 this lineup would once again add Mark Hardy to the mix on guitars and go back to Mercinary Studios to record the 3 song EP All Hail The Dark with Noah Buchanan.I

n December of 2021 the lineup went through a drastic lineup change once again and a new direction musically. Jack wanted to go back to the style of music he was playing during his At No End days, which fused Metal, Thrash Metal and Hardcore. Jack also wanted to take the band to the national level and hired a management company, to help get the band to that next level. The rest of the band didn't feel the same way, and decided to quit, leaving only Jack Sabolich to rebuild the band again. There was no better way to achieve this goal musically, and to start the rebuilding process, but to reach out to his good friend and former guitarist of the Brooklyn New York hardcore legends Merauder, Ernesto Colon. Ernesto joined Dead Earth in December of 2021 and in February of 2022 began writing a whole new batch of songs with Jack Sabolich in his basement. In March of 2022, 8 songs were demoed, breathing new life into the band and beginning what would become a very unique sound. In March of 2022 the lineup would add Curren Murphy on guitar, Dan Gates on bass, then drummer Colton Zeitler a month later. Another lineup change would occur in the band in June of 2023 by moving Dan Gates to guitar (replacing former guitarist Curren Murphy) and adding Mike Marczak on bass. The new lineup would join forces with Distilled Entertainment Management Company in May of 2023, which helped get the band signed to the M&O Music Record Label in July of 2023. With only demos in hand in July of 2023, Dead Earth would go back into Mercenary Studios and record the full length album From The Ruins, once again with Noah Buchanan, with a release date of November of 2023. The title From The Ruins is a perfect title for a band that has come back from the ruins many times, it is a reminder to never give up when times get tough, and that there is always a solution to every problem.

The current lineup consists of: Jack Sabolich on Vocals, Ernesto Colo -Guitars, Dan Gates (Mutual Hostility)-Guitars, Colton Zeitler- Drums, and rounded out by low ends crusher Mike Marczak on Bass. Dead Earth members hail from Cleveland, Ohio and Philadelphia, PA and are influenced by the blue collar, heavy industrial mean streets from which they come from. The band writes music that relates to every day problems that many people throughout the World deal with on a daily basis Their unique brutal sound, is definitely something for all Metalheads to check out.

We have 2 guitar players that play out of Peavy 5150 amp heads and 4x12 cabinets. 1 Ampeg bass head and bass cabinet. A five piece drum kit with double kick peddle. The lead singer has a Shure Beta 58 microphone, and we would need two microphones for backing vocals. We also need room behind the drum kit for a 8 foot x 8 foot back drop. We currently do not have a personal sound man, but that can be negotiated in the price of needed.
