Dead Reckoing is an acoustic. Metal band. Heavily distorted acoustic guitar (electrified), bass and drums. All original melodic and very heavy. Michael Rogan plays guitar like no one on the planet. The ongoing joke is we are Neil Young meets Black Sabbath. People are amazed the sound produced by this power trio. Destined for stardom. Recently played for non-suspecting audiences in New York. They were hit with full assault and ate it up. This is one of the most unique bands on the rock scene today. They need to get in front of large audiences. Michael Rogan "MFR" moved to the desert from New York City three years ago. He brought with him a dark history and an entire catalog of original music that illustrated his experiences. His profound talent as a guitarist has permutated from a metal player to an acoustic powerhouse. His original style and incredibly strong fingers have developed a style of playing unseen in the rock world.Heavily influenced by Black Sabbath his music is inspiring as he takes you from the depths of despair to the glory of self resurrection. Powerful stuff! The lyrics are from the soul and he is nothing short of a sonic poet. Randall "Scandall" Leff plays bass. A self stylized master with British Invasion roots as well as an affinity to Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. A colorful compliment to Rogan and a musical marriage made in heaven. Sam "the slam" Kieffer is the bands newest member. After over forty auditions Sam was awarded the position. An extremely powerful backbone to the sound Sam has a unique style culminated from various heavy metal influences. His brutal style adds the power and intensity that is Dead Reckoning.
