DeAngelo spoke at our annual symposium, and he totally knocked it out of the park! Prior to the event we had a brief meeting as he wanted to learn more about the group he would be speaking to. From the outset, when I first started to craft the “Halo Dreams” course curriculum, the first person I thought of to be a part of this was DeAngelo Burse as our keynote speaker. DeAngelo was excited to be a part of this project to help motivate at risk children enrolled in the Encounters Life Skills course, presented by The Arts Empowerment Project. With an infectious smile and warming energy, he opened our 6 part series with an engaging and moving Zoom presentation. DeAngelo delivered more than I could have asked for, and left a lasting impression upon the children, staff, and me. He was able to take my concept of “Halo Dreams” and push the narrative towards self discipline, persistence, hope, and empowerment with a message of “Dreaming Awake.” This was exactly what the Encounters course was focused upon. His opening set the tone and raised the bar for me to continue what he started for the remainder of the course. I know this course was made better because of him. We are looking forward to working with him again, and would strongly recommend him.

About
DeAngelo Burse is a social psychologist, college professor, and keynote speaker. He has a bachelor's in philosophy and religious studies and a Master's in Social Psychology from Walden University. Additionally, DeAngelo has certificates in Positive Psychology from both the University of Pennsylvania and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Through cognitive-behavioral coaching, Burse assists leaders in dealing with thoughts that lead to unhealthy behaviors.
DeAngelo is the founder and CEO of Breakroom Huddle, a corporate consulting firm that assists businesses in developing positive employee relationships. He believes that his life's purpose is to develop better people who treat people better. In his own words, “I help people reshape their identities and make more meaningful life connections to experience greater fulfillment in their work, relationships, and purpose.”
As a result, DeAngelo is committed to empowering and helping others develop their individual and social abilities.
