We were looking for a perfect mime to be the star of the show for our daughter’s 8th birthday party. She was so excited that Derek was going to be available; she even dressed up in her own mime outfit and Derek fit her into the show. That was very special. We added white mime gloves to each party favor bag and Derek gave the kids a few tips and tricks on how to perform. Both kids and adults had so much fun. I personally enjoyed the shows and had plenty of laughs.

We hired Derek the Mime as entertainment at our annual fundraiser. The theme? Springtime in Paris. We definitely needed a mime.. After a few phone calls, we decided that Derek would be perfect for our event. We were absolutely correct. On a professional level, he was prompt and prepared. As an artist, he was exceptional. We had him greet our guests upon arrival, and he did so with spirited fun. By the time they passed him, our guests were already having a good time. His talent continued to shine as he entertained our guests during dinner. We had also hired a French jazz band and Derek, knowing this, brought his inflatable saxophone and mimed his way through several songs. He understood the importance of mingling with his many guests as possible and happily posed for pictures in front of our Eiffel Tower. As we look back on our event, we always end up saying that Derek The Mime made the evening especially memorable and enjoyable.

Really I was surprised. When we decided to have a mime in the party of my wife's 50th birthday we really did not expect the excellent outcome from Derek the Mime. He performed his gig for everybody but then came the huge surprise that he went table by table and entertain and everybody had the best time laughing. Also he dedicate time to some kids in the party. I wasn't aware that people were having such a great time because I was taking care of the other performers. On top of that the honesty of Derek amazed me. We arrange him for 3 hs and he was only 2 hs and 15 min so he said that only charge me for the time of 2hs 15 min. NOBODY DOES THAT!!! Today Sunday when we call each of the guests to thank them for assistance and presents and unanimously everybody express that the best of the 6 entertainers was Derek The Mime. That because he went person by person, table by table and made people laugh. Even one of the kids went out of the party trying to imitate the mime. The parents were so happy!!!

I had first witnessed the spellbinding talents of Derek the Mime at a birthday party for a disabled child. His is a classically trained actor with compassion, wit, and impeccable timing in comedic gestures and human emotion. He can brighten any room. Recently, I wanted to treat a dear friend to a birthday treat. It was an unconventional venue at an upscale gallery, Parisian themed with exquisite art hung on the walls. Guests were invited to dress chicly in classic 1940s and 1950s French attire. Derek's keen intuition peaked as he honed in on several hilarious moments. One still playing over in my mind was the arrival of a Jazz saxophonist entering the room from stairs. All of a sudden there was Derek the Mime with an inflatable saxophone and the two began a dueling serenade for the stunned and beaming birthday girl. Derek is well worth every dime and is a chameleon in his artistic craft when it comes to rising to any occasion.

Derek the Mime made my daughters B-day Party Fantastic! He began the fun by greeting all the guests at the door as they arrived..... they were so excited to see him, and this was only the beginning of their laughter! He continued the fun throughout the party and even performed a show that included some of the parents! Everyone enjoyed him from age 6 to 86. I highly recommend him to make any event unforgettable!

I hired Derek the mime to entertain at a preschool French cultural celebration and he truly exceeded our expectations. He performed for a group of 5 year olds and they loved every minute of it... and so did the adults in the audience. Derek was great at engaging everyone in what he was doing. We got to see some cool tricks, some traditional mime work, a fun musical number AND Derek performed a fairytale with audience participation. We hired to Derek for our annual Customer Appreciation Dinner. He strolled and entertained our crowd of over 600 during our cocktail hour, dinner and then afterward. We threw a goodbye party for friends. It was at the beach and had a mixture of adults and kids of all ages. Despite difficult situations, Derek had everyone entertained and captivated for 3 hours. Derek worked through the sand, power failures and kindergarten aged children hanging on his legs. He had several gags that were hilarious and his spontaneous and impromptu jokes were fantastic. His ability to keep children, young adults and the grownups engaged and entertained for the entire time was nothing short of amazing. We will definitely be using Derek the Mime again in the future, hopefully soon!

I hired Derek the Mime for my Daughter's birthday party. He was a wonderful addition to the party. All of the third graders were very engaged in his performance. I also had a fabulous balloon guy, Buster Balloon and when he was through with his show I was really happy to have Derek there entertaining all the kids standing in line waiting for their fabulous balloon creation.

Many of the children never saw a mime before, I was very happy that I was able to provide them with that experience, and that they also enjoyed it as well.

We recently booked Derek for our Annual fundraiser. Our theme was soiree in Paris and I was looking for a french mime artist.
He certainly pulled out all the stops for our event. He entertained our guests while they were waiting to check in, he danced with them and improvised to perfection. Derek aims to please! Our event was a 40th anniversary celebration for the Board of REALTORS® in Southwest Riverside County. Derek had some great ideas of how to create enthusiasm from the crowd and was eager to learn what he could about our event and attendees. Many of our guests made a concerted effort to let me know after our event that Derek's acts helped make the evening especially fun for them. HATS off, Derek and thanks for being great to work with and for helping to make our celebration even more FUN!

My son hired Derek to entertain at our 3-year old grandson's birthday party, and he was excellent! He had routines for all the ages there, and there was a range from 3 to 80. Our grandson was transfixed - and immediately responded to the game of catch with an imaginary ball. He wandered around from table to table (we were in a restaurant patio) to involve everyone. He was able to pick up on and capitalize on things that were going on in the crowd -- he is very quick and terrifically funny. I haven't laughed that hard in ages, and I have a pretty funny family.

My daughter wanted a "Paris Party" for her 9th birthday and invited the whole 3rd grade class. When I told her I hired a mime artist, her reaction was a "how could you mom?!" scrunched up face. She was not so sure what would happen and what her friends would think...the teenage years apparently start at 9. Well, this party turned out superbly. The kids absolutely loved Derek wandering around and entertianing them with his physical jokes, magic, bubbles and general messing with their friends. Derek's skits were imaginative, funny and had the attention of every child. The audience watched silently until they burst out laughing. Many kids thanked me and said, almost with surprise, that this was the best party they had ever been to.

We were hosting a "Meet the Neighbors" block party for clients and their families. We had a food truck and three piece band.. The idea of having Derek was a whim when I saw his promo on the Crepes Bonapart website. This was the best idea! Derek added a level of entertainment and he engaged our clients from ages 2 to 92. He interacted with the band, and amped the energy of our soire. We are so happy with Derek and unhesitatingly recommend him.

We were so lucky to find Derek! The Paris theme to our event wouldn't of been complete without his talent and added excitement...well over 400 people attended and I have received so many compliments on Derek's interaction with the crowd and humor. Job Well Done!

He arrived early and was such a delight to our booth visitors. He had them laughing. He event entertained some of the children of the hotel guests where the convention was held. Derek is a great addition for any event and will make it special!

Got Derek Through "Crepes Bonaparte" website. Having both crepes & Derek made my daughter's birthday perfect. All my guests love him. All the kids had fun. Some of the shy kids ended up coming out when they saw Derek performing.

I called Derek with an emergency request (another performer bailed out on me at the last minute). I had promised my daughter a French-themed party!

Derek the Mime really mesmerized the children (they were mostly girls in the 5-to-9 age group). The adults there also had great fun, and everyone was very pleased with his performance.

He was very professional and punctual; he accommodated me in his schedule even though it had to be "squeezed" in between his other gigs. He arrived on time, left on time, and billed me for the pre-arranged fee, which I found appropriate. I like it when I can count on someone to deliver a professional service.

Village School's Cultural Fair took place in May. One of the countries that we were representing during this event was France. We invited Derek as a Classic French Mime. Derek did a very challenging job as we had 300 children divided in several small groups and they were rotating in every 15 minutes. The students absolutely loved his performance. He engaged the students as well as the teachers in such a fun way. He was the highlight of this event and we are thankful that he made this event a huge success.

Derek was a hit a the Father Daughter Dance. All from young to old really enjoyed the performance. His quick response to fire drill amused many that they still talk about. Cpta definitely will consider him for future events!!!

We had a Parisian themed party for our family and Derek had everyone laughing from the 7 month old to the 78 year old. Amazingly talented at impromptu performance- he took his cues from the dynamics of the group and ran with it. He even had our dog convinced she was on a leash. (She wasn't.) We can't stop talking about how fun and great his performance was.

I hired Derek for our employee Christmas Party this past week. It was a brunch and the theme was "Christmas in Paris". We had about 150 employees that were about 25-65 years old. Derek arrived early and began working right away. He was dressed for our theme and even did a few "costume changes" during our event. He kept everyone entertained, was funny, professional, and did a fantastic job! I would hire him again for future events!

Derek entertained over 300 people at our holiday party. Excellent job! Very funny. He was able to improvise throughout the evening to keep it different. I received many compliments after the party about his performance.

I'm in my 30's and my birthday is Bastille Day (French Independence Day) so I threw a French themed party this summer complete with crepe chef, French films, French music, and... Derek! He really completed the theme by entertaining guests throughout the party and then putting on a hilarious show where he included my guests as participants. Derek did a fantastic job keeping kids & adults entertained for our son's 10th birthday party. My daughter who's 5 yrs old was deathly scared of any clowns. Derek was kind to show her what he looked like before putting on his make up. She felt at ease after that and wasn't scared one bit. His daughter Jasmine, truly an artist, did a terrific job doing face painting/henna as well. None of the kids wanted to take off their make up at bedtime, including my staffs I hired to work the carnival booths. Jasmine is an amazing artist!!! I'm blessed to have such wonderful entertainers!

The first time I met my future husband, he stuck out like a sore thumb at the birthday party of a friend. The theme was black and white, and he took it to the extreme--he was dressed in full mime makeup, and didn't talk for three hours. When planning our wedding, we knew we needed a mime there to harass our friends!

Derek entertained our guests before the ceremony, acted as my flower girl in the ceremony (we turned the music off, of course!), and swooned and sillied our guests throughout and after cocktails and dinner. We could not have dreamed up a better entertainer. He was everything we'd hoped for multiplied by at least 10.

When he says mime extraordinare, he means it. He has clearly worked hard to earn that title! Easily the best money we spent. We're already dreaming up all kinds of other parties so we have an excuse to see him again. How great would he be at Thanksgiving?

When my daughter dreamed of her 16th birthday being a replica of the "Phantom of the Opera" masquerade ball my brain went into overdrive to make this party as authentic as possible. Hiring "Derek the Mime" was one of the best decisions I made for that night. For starters, he was professional, on time, and a non-stress element of the party, from my perspective. But most important was his ability to communicate with all the teens there - make them laugh, get them engaged in activities, keep them laughing and effortlessly wander through the party and entertain the crowd. So many of the guests had so much fun interacting him - and to have "teens" think "silent entertainment" is cool - is a feat to behold and an honor of the highest degree! He added color and just the right medieval masquerade touch to the evening. When he was finished he left as quietly as he came - no fuss, a final farewell and he was off. I have hired many an entertainer though my children's lifes for various birthday parties and 'Derek the Mime" ranks among the very best in talent as well as reliability and repsonsibility. I give him a solid 10 and recommend him for any event!

Friends were invited over for drinks to his Beverly Hills House - 7 of us - for an hour before going to Boa (restaurant on Sunset) for dinner..

City of Mission Viejo hosted a "Prelude in the Park" with a creative Parisian theme. Derek engaged with the community, danced with patrons, and demonstrated his talent. Derek the Mime was so entertaining! My daughter was turning one and she had a French Themed Birthday Party. We had appetizers, a chocolate fountain, French music, Crepes Bonaparte was catering the event, and we even had a caricature artist for the kids and their parents.
