Derian Ramsey Music

I'm a natural baritone that sings mostly tenor, & a wanna be rocker with a tragically soft crooner's voice. My main instrument is baritone ukulele, but I also play tenor uke & acoustic guitar for longer sets. My set list includes everything from pop punk, to country, to Broadway showtunes. I'm a sucker for love/breakup songs... my go to artists are Ed Sheeran, & Jason Mraz for the soft stuff. I also love to rock out to some Bowling For Soup, All Time Low, My Chemical Romance type tunes. My style is pretty relaxed. I like to have fun with the audience, & love it when they sing along.

Growing up, music was always my safe space, my therapy. I sang only for myself, & it was a very private thing. I didn't really like the sound of my own voice, so it never occurred to me that other people might enjoy it. It was only in the last few years that I began to realize what I called “therapy”, might help others as well. I guess that’s when I started getting passionate about singing. I played for the first time in public in October of 2019, but because of Covid, I didn’t really start “performing” until March 2021. I’m still just trying to figure out who I am as an artist.
I recently traveled to Nashville to record my first single, "Second to None", and I'll soon begin recording songs for an EP to be released later this year.

I love playing "unplugged" for small groups. I prefer to just "plug & play" thru your PA, but I have a PA system and sound tech if needed (extra fee).
Typical gear includes acoustic guitar, Baritone & Tenor Ukuleles, & 100 watt guitar amp.
PA system: 8 channel board w/ 300 watt powered speakers... plenty of volume for almost any situation.
