For many years, during the warmer months, I am able to enjoy Desmond on a regular basis as he performs daily, outdoors, for the sidewalk audiences and patrons at Bar Boulud, Cafe Fiorello and The Smith restaurants across from Lincoln Center. Desmond is a talented and captivating classical guitarist who also sings in accompaniment to his playing. His performance is the perfect enhancement to the warm, pleasant atmosphere and dining experience. As the menu tantalizes our appetites, Desmond tantalizes our hearing.

Desmond performed for me and my loved ones last night while we gathered to celebrate my close friend's 50th Birthday. He arrived on time and spent the first few minutes setting up his equipment. I was expecting only a guitarist. I had no idea I had hired a singer too! Desmond performed many classic pop tunes by artists such as Neil Diamond, John Denver, Abba and Frank Sinatra. He is a passionate singer and player and I was captivated the entire time. He is also a very nice man and I'm glad to have met him. I encourage anyone who is looking for a singer/guitarist to enjoy the talents of this unique man.

Desmond Ivey, a native of Jamaica from the West Indies is a virtuoso guitarist. Blessed with an amazing talent that can perform various advance techniques from a plethora of genres. He has a vast repertoire which encompasses Acoustic Classical, Spanish, Jazz and Sacred compositions best known by lovers of guitar music from around the world.
His music education has spanned several decades including the tutelage of Dante Rosati, of The Juilliard School of Music, New York.
