Silky-voiced singer-songwriter and multi-instrumental musician with an extensive catalogue of infectious originals and uniquely reimagined cover songs, Devon is a one-woman tour de force - layering together musical arrangements on a loop station using electric guitar, flute, glockenspiel, hand percussion, and more! A magnetic stage presence equipped with both side-splitting humour and poignant banter, Devon's sets can be tailored to suit the mood and message of your event: request melodic background music, or invite her to combine themed songs and stories in a show format that feels like a rock'n roll TED Talk. Highly recommended for corporate functions and community-building functions.
I had the pleasure of working with Devon when she was selected to be part of an artist residency to create a new collaborative work in the spring of 2022 at Eighth & Eight Creative Spaces (part of the Massey Complex) in New Westminster, BC. This residency resulted in a performance of a new work, Live Wires that featured music by Devon Moore, plus dance and projections. Not only was Devon's performance excellent she was professional, reliable, easy to communicate with and more than exceeded our expectations for the project. I am more than happy to recommend hiring Devon for an event!
I've seen Devon More perform in person several times, concert style, theatre performance, solo act.
Every time I see her I am blown away by her musical talents. She is so charming and warm and is really an incredible story teller. Listening to her music is where you want to be; warm, chill and in a thoughtful and engaged frame of mind.
Devon has been on storytelling and comedy shows that I have produced. She has a very unique style and is able to blend her music, story, and humour to give all types of audiences a wonderful experience. She is also able to customize her performance for your event. She is great to work with.
Devon is a pleasure to work with on the booking and contracting side of things--quick to respond and provides great marketing assets. The audience loved her heartfelt, funny & delightfully quirky performance. A really good musician with great audience interactive skills. Highly recommend.
Devon has performed her own stories-with-music in Salmon Arm for nearly a decade after we fell in love with "Berlin Waltz" and with Devon at one of Shuswap Theatre's first mini fringe-type festivals. She often sells out in this small town. She brings a keen eye for human nature, including her own, a unique ability to create solo a multi-instrumental/vocal kind of music and a wonderfully ironic sense of humour. Highly recommend Devon for any live theatre market.
Devon More has been entertaining Salmon Arm audiences for several years, as both a solo artist and as part of a theatre collective. Devon's shows are well-attended due to her at-ease stage presence and sophisticated musicality. Devon is a true professional, plus she is one heck of a nice person. You can't go wrong with this modern-day troubadour!
I have worked with Devon a few times and first encountered her when she sent me an invitation to attend one of her shows (Berlin Waltz). I was instantly taken with her stage presence and musical talents. Then Covid happened. At my job at that time (Surrey Civic Theatres) we were planning a digital stage series to provide entertainment for the community. Devon is one of the artists we contracted and her concert raised the bar of what could be done for a digital concert. We then contracted her for our outdoor "Summer Strolls" series to be one of the micro-performances where Devon created a new song using her voice, various instruments, and her looping machine. Audiences were fully engaged and the technical crew loved working with her. She does a great job of promoting her gigs too!

It's hypnotic to watch as Devon layers together multi-instrumental musical arrangements using her pedal-powered loop station, electric guitar, flute, glockenspiel, assorted hand percussion, vocal harmonies, and a few FX tricks. Her set list includes both catchy originals and unique cover songs, and she will alternate between live-looped toe-tappers and pared down ballads on guitar (or ukulele) for texture and variety. Devon loves to interact with her crowd and is known for incorporating banter and anecdotes that make her concerts feel like they have a satisfying storyline.
Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumental musician, captivating storyteller, and genre-bending performance artist - Devon More will cater her song choices and stage presence to suit the atmosphere of your event.
Best known for her captivating 'one-woman cabarets', Devon has toured her critically acclaimed collections of original songs and stories to festival stages across the country, and schools across the province. While her original tunes muse on themes of wanderlust, revolution, and love, Devon's covers tend to be cleverly reimagined classic songs. A globetrotting polyglot with a knack for combining insightful lyrics with infectious melodies, Devon More's artistic background includes classical-training as a flautist, a university degree in Theatre, and 3+ years' cutting her creative teeth in Berlin, Germany.
As guitarist and vocalist, she fronted the East Van-based punk pop power trio, Hang Lucy. Her full-length solo album, Sky Is Falling, arrived on streaming platforms earlier this year on the unlikeliest of days: February 29th, 2024.
