DJ King Pingu - Bilingual Entertainment

DJ KING PINGU is originally born and raised in the Bronx (Nuyorican) and later moved to South Florida with his family. About several years ago, he first visited Atlanta and fell in love with the city and its rich history. The fast growing population and major cultural diversity also made a lasting impression on him so he decided to make Atlanta his new home.

He attributes his love of various genres of music to his father who played countless records ranging from Kool & the Gang to Hector Lavoe when he was a child. Of course growing up in the city produced a love for Hip Hop which influenced his style and attitude as a teenager. It wasn’t until later in life that DJ KP developed a passion for Latin music, mainly tropical, and began DJ’ing as hobby. His hobby matured in to a brand of entertainment which includes mixing the hottest Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton, Bachata, Hip Hop, R&B, Dance, and Top 40 but ONLY FOR THOSE WHO EXPECTED TO HAVE A GREAT TIME ALL NIGHT!

DJ KP’s alias or nickname has always been “Pingu” which is a slang term commonly used amongst most Island Latinos. Although some might refer to it as a derogatory term, most of his people know that it really means “Courageous” and “STRONG”…….LOL….DALE!
