Having started in the NY club scene before they were old enough to drive, DJ M2 got an early go at music. Their passion began with making people move on dance floors across New York. As time went by, they became known for their eclectic and wide-ranging music taste, playing everything from Dance and Hip-Hop, to world music and everything in between. DJ sets alongside Fabulous, Mel DeBarge, Knife Party, and many more in New York City, Washington D.C., Miami, Boston, Israel, and other major cities around the world helped solidify the duo as a major NY-based music force. Eventually, Mateen and Matt branched into music production, both having taken on multiple music projects of their own.
DJ M2 played at our wedding at the Hotel Chelsea and did an incredible job! Everyone danced and were saying how much fun they were having because of the great vibe they set out. Their set was a perfect balance of disco and dance music, which was perfect for both the older and younger attendees, which we really appreciated! They came on time and their set up was ideal. They were also incredibly flexible on the day of, always ready to go with the flow, especially when random traditions required the addition of unexpected back up music. Before the wedding, Matt was very responsive and we were able to speak multiple times to share thoughts and ideas. They also sent us multiple playlists in advance to allow us to make some changes if needed! Highly recommend them, they were a blast :)

We have been DJing at clubs, weddings, private parties, and events of all kinds for about 14 years now. Through it all we've spanned different genres and played music to many different groups of people. Elevating the mood at a party is our number one priority. Whether it's an event that incorporates dancing, or just good energy, were capable of it all. We play all different types of music and span all genres, styles and eras during our DJ sets.

Included in our price is a full DJ setup, transportation, setting up and breaking down, and a full Soundsystem (varies depending on the size of space and event). We have four QSC K12 1,000 Watt tops and multiple QSC subs.

Our musical influences range far and wide. We are both of middle eastern descent and group up with tons of music in our homes. We listen to everything from Iranian folk music, to jazz, to rock, to dance and disco music. It's really all fair game, we were heavily inspired at a young age by the open format era of the 2010s. We like to mix it up bas d on the job and play all different types of music at our sets.
