As a heavy hitter with several plus years of experience, Montreal’s Alex Padida, a.k.a DJ Overflow is the definition of a musical prodigy. He displays an Open Format Style with a technical direct skill set on the turntables with innovating mixing and scratching. He approaches every showcase with a variety of eclectic music, ranging from Funk, Hip Hop, Deep House, Nu-Disco and Neo-Soul, but never limited to any selection.
Whether in big venues, festival-like environments or small intimate lounges, his genuine love for music comes alive wherever he plays.

Let me give you a brief bio about myself:
My name is Alex Padida and I have been DJ-ing for the past 12 years in Montreal. My Musicology is extreme wide and open. I usually play, almost all types of music during my sets. I've been Playing Lounge Music, Deep House, Mellow Beats. I do also incorporate Classic Hip Hop, Dancehall, Alternative Rock, Ska, 80's, House-Electro, Radio Top 40. Looking at the vibe and the environment, I pretty much play to cater the audience.
Ever since I was high school. But I officially bought 2 Technics and Vestax mixer at, finally, at 18. After high school, I moved closer to downtown (originally from South Shore, Greenfield Park), to try to pursue this. I started out DJ-ing in bars and pubs.
Throughout the years, I have played at these locations, venues and festivals (non-chronological order):
Jukebox (CLOSED)
Peel Pub Downtown
Madhatters
Le Swimming (currently Apartment 200)
Laboom
Club 737 (CLOSED)

Still freelancing but I'm currently spinning every so often at Mclean’s Pub and Resto Notkins (In Griffintown)
I want to mention that, I’ve DJ-ed couple hip hop shows. Method Man in January 2013. That same year, Master Ace at fours, and my proudest moment was opening for Slum Village back (J Dilla 4 Life).
I have collaborated with local different MCs from MTL. The two I've worked primarily as their DJ was, Big Bricc from Underground Realroad and L.E.S. It was with L.E.S that I've DJ-ed for him opening with Method Man and Master Ace.
For the past 2 years, I've competed in the DMC battles. I think I've done pretty well. Last year, I was Placed tied 4th of 6 DJs and this year traveled to Toronto for it and Placed 4th out of 9 DJ's.
DJ-ing is a passion of mine. I’m always looking for new places to spin. Play to a large audience and connect with them emotionally and physically with the tunes i’m spinning.
