So my husband and I hosted a 90's Hip-hop and R&B theme party for our friends and family. We hired DJ Retro to spin all the greatest hits and keep our guest dancing all night long. Listen, DJ RETRO did not disappoint. In my opinion, he is well versed in several genres of music and has the ability to read the crowd which is VITAL in the DJ world.
Communication was effective and timely. He arrived early enough to set up and started on time as requested. Vendor fee was reasonable and we threw in an extra tip because the service provided exceeded our expectations. My name is DJ Retro w/J&V Events, and I provide DJ/Host services. We have been established since 2017 and every year we find ourselves growing more and more. We specialize in MC and DJ event services. 90s Hip-Hop and RnB is our specialty, and we keep the dance floor packed. We have been in the event industry for over 7 years now and we are new to the Las Vegas area as of 2018. Contact us for a quote or information on our services.
We are a mobile DJ service and provide a DJ/PA system, microphone, sub-woofer and party lights. We can accommodate an event that between 15-160 comfortably with the equipment that we have. If you need additional services such as an MC we can provide that as well for an additional fee. We are self-sufficient and we can bring our equipment along to complete any event. We will need access to a couple of power outlets, shade area for outside events and we do require that a dedicated area for the DJ is supplied.
We will provide a set list when requested. General understanding is that the DJ will play within the genre of 90-00s Hip-hop and RnB unless otherwise requested. Specific guidance needs to be given as to the omission of certain songs, lyrics and content when booking the event. The DJ is not responsible for the reaction or protest of certain music being played. The host will be held to the standard of what can and cannot be played.
We will need standard power to accommodate our Mobile DJ equipment setup. Power strip and exstention cords are what we usually ask for to have on hand.
