Inspired by his uncle, a renowned NYC DJ, a young Smooth witnessed the magic of music firsthand. This spark ignited a lifelong passion, leading him to collect cassettes and CDs, meticulously practicing blends on his first pair of turntables at the age of 12.

His Caribbean-American heritage (Guyanese and Barbadian) further fueled his musical journey. Access to promo records from his uncle, who worked at VP Records, allowed him to hone his skills in blending Reggae and Soca. Backyard barbecues and homemade mixtapes became his early training ground, where he cultivated a unique ability to connect with audiences through diverse sounds.

Smooth's career path took him from local venues in Florida to national stages. He has graced prestigious clubs, festivals, and corporate events, sharing his passion for music with audiences across the country.
