Dr. Jack “Doc” Poster is a renowned conductor, music arranger, composer, and international trumpeter. He recorded albums with artists such as Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, Dolly Parton, Diana Ross, JJ Jackson, Andy Williams, the Pointer Sisters, Ray Anthony, and Harry James. He earned a Doctorate at Claremont Graduate University and three Master’s Degrees: Music Education, Music Performance, and Education Administration. For the past 20 years, “Doc” Poster has provided education as a certified instructor in California Schools.

"Doc" Jack Poster has been on the cutting edge of the entertainment business ever since he became a professional trumpet artist. He has an extensive performance background in all areas of music, including; Jazz, Pop, Big Band Classical and Rock n Roll. He's been the lead trumpet player for such artists as Stan Kenton, Harry James, Ray Anthony, Si Zetner, and others. He performed with the Nat Brandwynn Orchestra as lead trumpet from (phone number hidden)0 and the Johnny Haig Orchestra (relief band, Las Vegas) from 1980-83. He was the leader of his own band "The Rave" from 1984-90, when he became the musical director and featured artist at the Maxim Hotel in Las Vegas. He coordinated
bands on the Barge at Caesar's Palace for 8 years and recorded albums with such stars as Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, Dolly Parton, Diana Ross, J.J. Jackson, Andy Williams, the Pointer Sisters, Ray Anthony and Harry James.
Doc Poster has performed with and contracted for many artists in Las Vegas and California over the past 45 years including such artists as Sammy Davis Jr., Cher, Liberace, Englebert Humperdink, Dean Martin, Diahann Carroll, The Jacksons, Barbara Streisand, Frankie Valle and the Four Seasons, Smokey Robinson, Barry Manilow, Natalie Cole, Ann Margaret, Shirley McClain, Anthony Newly, Robert Giome, Holiday on Ice, Steve Lawrence and Edie Gorme,Don Rickles, Wayne Newton, and many many more. Please note that Doc Poster is a Solo Trumpeter with back up bands. The house mix should reflect that fact with the vocals comprising 25% or less of the overall sound and the instrumental music making up to 75% of the overall sound. As a whole, the house volume should not be overpowering. with that in mind, the concert setup for Doc Poster should include the following: Stage Plot's are attached
1. Vocal/Speaking microphone and monitor setup.
A. As an individual performer; One (1) wireless (if available) vocal/speaking microphone, Shure-
Beta 58 or equal with one microphone stand (no Boom), with round base.
B. Two (2) monitor mixes - one for the CD play along tracks and one for Doc Poster of himself
playing trumpet. Doc Poster will provide his own wireless instrumental microphone.
2. Vocal/Speaking microphone and monitor setup./
A. As Eleven (11) piece performers; Three (3) wireless (if available) vocal/speaking microphone,
Shure-Beta 58 or equal with one microphone stand (no Boom), with round base.
B. Six (6) monitor mixes
i. [Mix #1] - one (1) monitor for the male vocalist. This mix will contain a sampling of
instrumentation as directed by the vocalist
ii. [Mix #2] - one (1) monitor for the female vocalist. This mix will contain a sampling of
instrumentation as directed by the vocalist
iii. [Mix #3] - one (1) monitor for the Doc Poster. This mix will contain a sampling of
instrumentation as directed by Doc Poster with an emphasis on bass guitar
iv. [Mix #4] - one (1) monitor for the bass and guitar players. This mix will contain a sampling
of instrumentation as directed by them
v. [Mix #5] - one (1) monitor for the drummer. This mix will contain a sampling
of instrumentation as directed by him
vi. [Mix #6] - one (1) monitor for the piano player. This mix will contain a sampling
of instrumentation as directed by him
3. Vocal/Speaking microphone and monitor setup./
A. As Twenty (20) piece performers; Three (3) wireless (if available) vocal/speaking microphone,

B. Nine (9) monitor mixes

instrumentation as directed by the vocalist

instrumentation as directed by the vocalist
iii. [Mix #3] - one (1) monitor for the Doc Poster. This mix will contain a sampling of
instrumentation as directed by Doc Poster with an emphasis on bass guitar

and trumpet player. At least 3 additional washes (red, blue + one other). No follow spot is required.
