COOP and a Guitar is an acoustic guitar / singer solo act who has been entertaining crowds for over 10 years. Dick Cooper plays acoustic guitar and sings the classic rock songs that made rock classic. On certain occasions I will add percussion or some other accompaniment.
I play a blend of many classic rock but we throw in actual classic music and the occasional show tune. We love playing and chatting and playing some more. I select songs from the Beatles, Clapton, Van Morrison, Moody Blues, Simon & Garfunkel and anyone else I can think of.
COOP and a Guitar is geared to play large venues or small venues, whatever is needed. I have fun and share that with my listeners.

We will be at the event 30-60 before the start to set up and run sound. We will set up in the location directed. We will require 1 or 2 120V outlets. We adjust our volume based on the event. Many events want music that is a background to dinner conversations or such. Some want the music to be the driving force of the evening. We will discuss with the planner and set out\r volumes accordingly. A typical show might last 3 hours of quality music. Introductions and chatter between songs will be kept to a minimum. Our show is lively from two musicians who love their craft.
COOP has been playing his guitar since he was 13. He heard Ferry Cross the Mersey and Sounds of Silence and decided that is what he wanted to do. Over the years he has played in several bands including rock bands playing lead guitar, bluegrass bands playing banjo and mandolin, acoustic bands playing classic rock covers. His goal is to bring some great memories to life with his acoustic interpretations of songs that molded our lives.
We will provide all sound equipment only. We do not provide a stage or lighting
