Overview
Don Antal Music is the ideal choice where quality music and a pleasant ambiance are required. Don plays a wide variety of tunes from the Great American Songbook (Sinatra, Bennett, Joel, Jobim, etc.), light jazz/pop tunes that are non-intrusive to conversation and add that special sparkle to your party!
With Don, you get a solo pianist plus a jazz trio too via track technology, adding bass, drums and occasionally guitar/strings to his performances. Listen to his Keyboard Sampler to hear what Don sounds like live - all performed by ONE musician!
As a former member of the USAF Band in Washington, DC, you can be assured of Don's professionalism and musicianship!

Don was perfect! It took me forever to find what we needed and he was perfect! Great background music for our party of 150. Everyone loved it and his sounds was perfect for the event.....not too loud, not too overpowering....just right! It was an outside cocktail party and he added to the party to make it extra special. Don was phenomenal. We hosted a reception for our conference and he arrived 1 1/2 hours before the event, was extremely professional, and delivered a stellar performance. Don was an awesome find! He not only is talented on the keyboard but also plays electric sax and clarinet that broadens the depth of his music. We hired him for a volunteer Christmas party and, while no one danced, everyone there moved to the music -- swaying, tapping their foot, singing along, etc. I would not hesitate to hire him for any occasion and highly recommend him!

Don arrived early to set up and was ready to play when we all came from the church. The music was Bossa Nova and Jazz, as I had wished. He played during the cocktail hour and the dinner and didn't rush to leave, which was fantastic. The music was very classy and added great atmosphere to our wedding reception. I highly recommend him. He is reliable and plays well!

Don and Chad were amazing! I set the event up (250+ people) through Don and he was very easy to deal with. They were early to the event, which made my life easy. Once they started playing , I knew they were the right choice. They are both very talented musicians. I can't recommend them enough!

Don and Chad played at our son's rehearsal dinner, and they did a fantastic job. We had a welcome party afterwards with over 300 people, and the music they played for that was also excellent.

Don played music for our residents' Valentines' Sweetheart dinner. His music was beautiful, non intrusive and from the era appealing to our seniors. There were many compliments among our attendees and we will contract him a lot in the future.

We hosted a Valentine's Day Sweetheart Dance for the residents at the Haven in the Summit. This was our first experience with Don Antal Music and I feel we could not have had a better performer. The music was exactly what we wanted. He set the mood perfectly, and the whole event was a hugh success. I am very happy to refer him to any place and we will be happy to have Mr. Antal come back for future performances.

Before I booked Don, I was scrambling to find some last minute musical entertainment for an event I was having. I posted on GigSalad and Don responded with exactly what I was looking for: unobtrusive ambience for a small get-together. I feel like his music really brought the event together, and everyone really enjoyed his being here. I will absolutely be contacting him again should I have need for musical entertainment for a similar event in the future.

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to meet Don for a private event we hosted for about 30 people downtown. He was extremely easy to plan with, arrived early and set up everything before the guests arrived, and provided the perfect jazz background for the event. Later, when the guests started making requests, he knew it or went along with it without missing a beat. He and Chad were very professional. We could not have afforded to not hire Don and hope he'll play events for us in the future.

As a single or duo, we are non-intrusive to conversation and provide that special sparkle to your party! Think ambiance, classy, compact and unobtrusive!
We have played for cocktails/dinner party of 25 people to a major Lions Club banquet of over 300 people and every type and size event in between!
We also provide a jazz trio, quartet or quintet if your occasion demands a larger group!
About
Don is a jazz pianist / keyboard player with a wealth of experience, playing professionally for over 40 years. Don is a former member of the USAF Band in Washington, DC. He served under three Presidents, as both a musician and arranger, playing for official ceremonies and social gatherings at the White House, Andrews AFB and upscale Washington area hotels. A multi-instrumentalist, Don also plays soprano, alto, and tenor saxophones, clarinet and flute which he is able to play in the Duo setting with his guitarist partner.
Teaming with a guitarist or saxophonist, the Duo performs light jazz and pop, ranging from the timeless music of Frank Sinatra & Ella Fitzgerald to Diana Krall & Norah Jones with a little country and shag thrown in for good measure!

We specialize in the Great American Songbook (standards, Big Band tunes, etc.) and the classic pop tunes that have endured from the 50's to today. A sprinkling of beach and country classics rounds out our repertoire!
