Don Covel is a guitar/vocal soloist playing acoustic and electric guitar enhanced with self-produced backing tracks. His music styles includes smooth jazz along with Neil Young, Tom Petty, Dire Straits, Steely Dan, Santana, Elton John, Peter White, Frank Sinatra, Eagles, Neil Diamond, Glen Campbell, Eric Clapton.

With his warm vocals, soft guitar, and finger style guitar work, Don is frequently compared to James Taylor. More fun than a DJ. Less hassle than a band.

Don turned what was just a typical birthday party into an event. He was amazing. Played in the background during dinner and by the end of the night had everyone singing and dancing. Don has a great feel for the event, is engaging, and is a real pro. He is self-sufficient and we didn't have to do a thing. His mix of classic songs was perfect for the occasion. Don made the evening unforgettable. We'll definitely use him again.

We had Don perform for our soft opening and grand opening and we have to say, he was truly the best! Not only did he catch the vibe of each event, we had him out in 95 degree heat the first event (sorry Don!) and he was nothing but professional. About
Don is a graduate of the University of Redlands. He also studied composition and arranging at the Grove School of Music in Studio City CA. He is versed in classical, jazz, folk, blues, and rockabilly styles. He has played around the country performing at shows with rock and roll artists including, Linda Ronstadt, The Drifters, Big Joe Turner, Al Wilson, The Canned Heat, and others.
