Where do I even start about country music artist Don Woods and his Band without tearing up. I met this band a few years ago when they stood beside my family and I through a very difficult time in our lives. My little baby boy was diagnosed with neuroblastoma cancer at age 2. We fought a four year fight and at the age of 6 Dominic was called home. My life lost and shattered, falling apart and I wanted to give up on life. How could I as a mother even face this pain everyday? I was approached by an outdoor hunting/fishing organization that gave Dominic a free fishing trip a couple of weeks before he passed. They asked if I would consider doing a benefit to honor Dominic while it also would help raise donations for other terminal children to also experience what Dominic did. I knew what my little boy would want his mommy to do for other kids, so I agreed. I had no clue what was expected from me with no knowledge how to even help with any of it. Don Woods heard the story behind this event and instantly gave his talent, his love to our family and so many more families that day he performed and sang his music. With broken hearts standing all around, The Don Woods Band took the stage and touched so many of those hearts with hope again. I never met Don before that day, I can’t even explain much about the benefit that day. But, what I can truly remember and can express is that because of this band and because of Don Woods and the men that sign the music, I was given a second chance at life and found purpose again. I was given the strength and continued this event with “Texas Hunt For A Cure” in honor of my son for a few more years and helped raise over $20,000 for other sick kids.

The Don Woods Band continued the journey with us and never left our side. It’s not just music, it’s country music for the soul!!

Don Woods Band is a wonderfully talented group of artists. They are fun, patriotic and enjoy what they do. They are great showmen. Don is an incredible man and an incredible lead. I go see them perform every chance I get. I love their music.
