I found Donald Allen a week before my party, asked him to pick up the difficult passages of Chopin’s Etude in E Major that I can no longer perform. It was a formidable request, but he studied them and was ready to perform with me in 3 days!!! I know he did it for no extra compensation, just to please this 80 year old lady’s desire to play for her Grandchildren. To top it all, he found harpist Barbara Gallagher at the last minute. They were perfectly matched and lent the classical and elegant touch I wanted for the occasion. I will forever be grateful to Don Allen. He is a musician with a big heart!

Don Allen is a class act. He added an element of sophisticated fun to my husband’s 75th birthday celebration in our home.

We decided to have a violinist very close to the wedding date and Don came through for us. He is a fabulous violinist. Our guests were so impressed. The music was absolutely beautiful and he was so helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend!!

We hired Don Allen for our baby's 1st birthday party. He played a few songs that I had requested, took requests from guests, and performed other music that the kids and adults loved. Mr. Allen was very engaging with guests and made everyone smile. He even did an impromptu duet with my daughter which was lovely! Highly recommended - thanks for a wonderful job Don Allen!

I have been to a wedding recently with a violinist and it does not come close to Mr. Don Allen. His music was smooth and very heartfelt. He went out of his way to make my daughter's wedding memerable. I can't thank him enough!

We hired Don Allen and a harpist for our wedding and could not have been more pleased. They played all of the songs we asked for plus even some guest requests. They provided a perfect blend of classical, hymns and even Celtic (my husband is Scottish) that was an incredible backdrop for our ceremony and reception. They were personable and professional and a pleasure to work with in the weeks leading up to the event. Highly recommend!

Don Allen and his harpist performed at my son's wedding rehearsal dinner. They were marvelous. He communicated extensively in advance of the event. He played the music suggestions that I requested. He was on time and completely set up and playing. The music needless to say was absolutely delightful. I would highly recommend Mr. Allen for any event you may have.

Influences & Inspiration
I served for many years as a member of the United States Air Force Symphony and the world famous USAF Strolling Strings, which performed at the White House, State Department and embassies throughout Europe and the Far East. This experience was invaluable because it gave me the opportunity to perform with some of the finest musicians in the country.
