Double Up Productions is a Mobile DJ Service and "Husband & Wife" team with over 30 years of experience. We are based in Sacramento, CA, and provide professional DJ services throughout Northern California.
We specialize in Weddings, Birthday Parties, School Dances, Corporate Events, and Special Functions. We bring the music and entertainment to your event. We will also serve as Master of Ceremonies and party motivators at your wedding reception if you desire.
Our goal is to play the music you want to hear and to help make your event or special day all you've ever dreamed it would be.

Insurance: $1,000,000 - Yes. We are insured by Geico. Many responsible business owners carry liability insurance to protect their businesses and the consumer. Many locations are beginning to require proof of liability. Disc Jockey’s receive a Certificate of Liability which can be used as proof. We are insured by Geico. Our liability policy covers up to $1,000,000 per incident and $2,000,000 per year. We’ve never made a claim.
When you hire Double Up Productions Mobile DJ Service, you can expect the following:
(1) Our preparations begin two hours before anyone arrives. We're set up wherever sound is required, so there's no need to move equipment once your event begins.
(2) Your ceremony includes wireless lapel mics and perfectly timed music for your procession and Newlywed exit. These are your options, and we even talk about timing... because your entrance must be accompanied by the perfect music crescendo.
(3) We work together to come up with the perfect playlist of music for cocktail hour to go along with the enthusiasm in the air.
(4) Grand entrances are something we love! Most DJs simply play a song for the wedding party. Imagine creatively introducing them to a few witty sayings that will make them blush while also making your guests laugh. You'll find that we have some wonderful ideas to share!
(5) During meal service, toasts, and dessert, we have some pretty cool ways to engage guests. A little imagination and humor can go a long way.
(6) Consider this: your guests have gathered around your dancefloor. I then tell a story about how you both secretly recorded your feelings for each other, sent them to me, and we remixed those feelings into your first dance. And, for the first time, you share it with each other and your guests. It's an incredible moment that we plan for ahead of time, but only if you're interested!
(7) Party Time! We dim the lights, turn on our dancefloor lights, and invite your guests to stay and party with you until the end. We love a "Favorite Songs" list, and a "Do Not Play" list, and we welcome Guest Requests. We know how to have a Good time!!!

Our fees start when the music starts. Setup and breakdown are free of charge. Most of our contracts require a $250 retainer, with the balance due on or before your event day.

Having been a full time DJ for weddings for over 20 years, I'll put all my experience to work for you.
When you hire Double Up Productions you're hiring me. I will be your DJ. You'll meet with me, discuss your plans with me and I will be the DJ at your Event. I do not bring or send anyone else in my place!
Our Basic Wedding Package includes a Professional Sound System: Wedding Planning Tools, QSC K12 2-Way Powered Speakers, Pioneer DDJ-SZ DJ Controller for Serato, MacBook Pro Laptop, Basic Party Lights, Cordless Microphones, an extensive library of music, and a professional DJ/MC with over 30 years of experience. Upgrade options are also available.
