We booked Doug for our Wedding Ceremony and he was truly amazing. Doug was on time and professional, his music providing the perfect backdrop to our wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

I'm very pleased with the process of booking and the professionalism from Doug. I had a small, casual ceremony and wasn't sure what songs to choose. Doug being an experienced musician was able to give me recommendations and he has a prepared list of songs to choose from. He showed up early to my event, was fully prepared(set up) and he was always available for any questions I had. I would highly recommend.

Doug Anthony recently played guitar for our son's rehearsal dinner in Georgetown, Texas. This was such a great addition to our special event. Doug is AMAZING!! I live in Houston but I got married at Chapel Dulcinea in Austin on Feb. 18, 2017 and just a couple months before the wedding my music plan for the ceremony fell through. I found Doug on Gig Masters and he replied to my MULTIPLE emails promptly and answered my MILLION questions (yes, I’m that annoying bride lol) Doug didn’t make me feel like a burden at all though.
So let’s fast forward to the Big Day…. I barely emailed him that morning to tell him what song I wanted to walk down to since I was having a hard time to decide which wasn’t a problem for him at all! He had me pay my balance via paypal while I was getting ready which was super fast and easy and I didn’t have to worry about doing the transaction at the wedding venue in front of our guests. There’s a long trail before you get to the chapel and I couldn’t see anything or anyone..but I could HEAR the music and it was so soft, romantic and lovely and that’s when everything got REAL and exciting for me. He was absolutely perfect and he sat in the corner (dressed very nicely btw..) where he can still be seen and heard but not take the spotlight (duh, that’s my job lol)
Planning a wedding out of town is hard already and I was so stressed about every single detail…but not about Doug. He was the least of my worries. He answered my questions, I paid him, and he got there and immediately set up.. simple as that! I am so glad I found him and I would recommend him to anyone and everyone! Sorry of the long review…the experience was just so perfect that I had to explain!!

Doug performed for my daughter's wedding at Chapel Dulcinea. His music was the perfect touch to our small intimate wedding. He helped with song selections which we perfect for the special milestones in the ceremony. I planned everything long distance and Doug made it very easy and efficient. He was on time, professional, flexible and he understood the acoustics of the location. His performance was just the right touch that brought the entire magical day together.

First of all, I'd like to say that we were planning our wedding from 375 miles away. We didn't even meet Doug until the big day. We communicated entirely via email, yet never once did I have a worry about Doug! He provided pre-ceremony and cocktail hour music for our small, outdoor wedding. He was super easy and pleasant to work with! I think the moment he stepped on the property, he knew the vibe we were going for. He achieved that and more! I highly recommend him for any size wedding or event, as he knows his craft well and will take care of providing a great musical atmosphere. Thank you so much, Doug!

Doug was great! He arrived on time, was prepared, and he played beautifully. We hired him to play at a networking event, so I asked him to read the room and play what he thought was needed to keep the event happy and upbeat, and he succeeded.

Doug had great communication, and accommodated a large corporate event on short notice. The guitar helped create the perfect ambiance to our outdoor event. He was self-reliant and easy-going. We would definitely hire him again for future events.

Doug was a perfect choice for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. I chose the ceremony songs based on his recommendations (he made it so easy for me since I had no clue), and then I let him pick everything else for the cocktail hour and reception. I had my concerns about what songs might be played or if people would get tired of hearing the guitar for so long (we did not book a band). All of his song choices were perfect, very pleasant and the guitar playing did not get old at all. I couldn't be happier that we used him for the wedding. Everyone else enjoyed his music, as well. I will absolutely recommend him to anyone in the future.

Doug did an amazing job at our wedding. Really created an soft atmosphere with great acoustic performance. Everyone was able to hold conversation without having to yell over music. Great song bank, had everyone singing songs with just instrumentals.

I had a very simple ceremony at Chapel Dulcinea a few weeks ago and hired Doug as my musician. He was simply amazing! I corresponded with him via email prior to the wedding date and arranged everything. He was very flexible and timely. I didn't get the chance to even properly meet him until after the ceremony, but all of my guests loved his playing! Definitely made the day perfect!

Anthony was amazing! Living out of town, I was a bit (or more like a lot) late at getting things done, sending contract, selecting music, etc. Anthony kept our day open and reserved and was kind enough to make perfect music suggestions. As for his performance, exceptional. Our guests loved his music making the day, mood and environment perfect, memorable.

We found Doug through a friend who recently got married and suggested him. Doug is very responsive to emails and very flexible to work with. He did a great job playing at our morning ceremony, and even came up afterwards to congratulate us before leaving. I also like his song selections...we used "Ripple" by the Grateful Dead for our processional music. There are plenty of Beatle's songs too! I would definitely suggest Doug for ceremony and reception music at your wedding!

Doug was easy to work with from the get-go. He knew exactly what to play, and how to read the crowd at the wedding. We didn't even see him until after we walked down the aisle--he just got to the chapel, set up, and started playing. Everyone who attended thought the music was beautiful, and a nice touch as well. I am so so glad we worked with Doug, and I recommend him to other couples who want to make their ceremony a bit more special.

Where to start? I guess I will just sum it up in one word...AWESOME. Doug was great from the first time we contacted him. He stayed in touch with us regularly about the details of our wedding/reception and was eager to provide any special requests we may have. Very easy to work with and very flexible. We initially asked Doug to perform at our ceremony and it wasn't until about 2-3 weeks before our wedding date that we asked if he could also do our reception. Doug was more than happy to accommodate us. He also was helpful with details about our specific venues that we would not have known otherwise. I think my favorite thing was the fact that he asked what the groomsmen were wearing and wore the exact same type of shirt (guayabera). His videos are great but I think the live performance was even better. Almost every guest complimented his performance and asked for his name/info. Several guests made comments like "this guy knows how to play EVERYTHING!" My wife and I were both talking about how we hope we have another event in the future somewhere nearby so that we can have Doug perform again. If you are reading this review just stop looking and book Doug and I promise you will be 100% happy.

Doug is a responsive, flexible, TALENTED professional. Im so so happy we booked with him. We had a terribly last minute time change and Doug didnt sweat it. He was able to move somethings around and adjust to the new time no problem. He has a great selection of songs on his site. Plus video so you can hear him play. Doug was amazing. His musicianship was fabulous and he was so easy to work with throughout the process. He has a great reputation in the area as well. As I was looking for a guitar player throughout the hill country his name continued to come up. I was so lucky to have him! I found out after the ceremony that he had even been working with my uncle (who performed the ceremony) for a special meaningful surprise song that they performed together. it was so amazing that he did this! I hired Doug for my 50th birthday party last month. I could not have asked for a better experience. I went all out and had it catered, the whole nine yards, but it was Doug and his energy when he played that made it awesome.

We had trouble finding someone who would play well known songs and provide background music for our group...he was great, I wish would have had him preform for the audience in addition to the background music.
