We were so thankful to have the Doug Flowers Band play a special birthday at my house and WOW, did they deliver… Tallent, heartfelt joy for playing, and sincere desire to please the crowd. I look forward to having them play future events, and highly recommend them for any events you may be considering. Tremendous souls!
Doug Flowers Band is a fantastic band. We hired them to play at a laid back outdoor celebration - and we received so many comments from the guests about how good the music and performance was. They played at a stage in the tent and guests could easily have conversations, the sound was great and volume also worked well for dancing. The band is super professional and at the same time so friendly and easy to work with.
I would highly recommend Doug Flowers Band and would book them any time again when I need Blue Grass music.
I couldn't have asked for a better band to play for my wedding reception. After a couple disappointing attempts to get other bands to play for us, I decided to try gigsalad (never used it before) and put out an offer to any bands in the area that might see it. Doug replied immediately saying that he and his band knew all the songs we said we wanted to have played (mostly classic old time bluegrass and gospel) and would be happy to work with us to plan set lists to our liking. Doug was not the only one to respond to my offer, but he stood out from the crowd for his warm, friendly personality and eagerness to accommodate our needs. It was a great pleasure speaking with him on the phone and planning our sets -- especially after the experiences I'd had with other bands who seemed resistant and even hostile to work with their host! Moreover, after looking at the many other options and listening to some of their music, none compared to the bright, solid sound and top notch musicianship of the Doug Flowers Band. At the event itself, they lived up to and even exceeded my expectations in every respect. I was so impressed with their talent and courtesy and willingness to go with the flow. I know they were not playing all the tunes what they would normally play for one of their own gigs which says even more. They also allowed my bride and me to borrow their mics to play a few tunes on fiddle and banjo together and then invited us to play some closing numbers with them -- it was a real privilege and we had loads of fun! Doug Flowers Band was a real bright spot at our wedding (which had many bright spots) and set the perfect tone for what is sure to be one of the most memorable days in my life. I count myself blessed to have found them and that the Lord made it possible for them to come! I cannot thank or commend them highly enough.

Professionals in their sound and appearance. The group is entertaining and performs classic bluegrass to contemporary and also a few originals in the mix. Their use of humor is always clean and appropriate and is never overdone.
The band is very easy to work with and will leave you wanting to see them perform again.
The Doug Flowers Band is a group of bluegrass musicians from near Augusta, GA. Doug is a veteran bluegrass musician, who performed with Betty Fisher, Little Roy & Lizzy & Clinton Gregory.
Doug and his excellent group have produced their first band release called "Brothersville." The title is appropriate as the Flowers brothers live in Hephzibah, GA, a town which before 1870, was the village called Brothersville.
The Brothersville theme continues with Lamb brothers Joshua & Aaron. Aaron’s original instrumental “Brothersville Breakdown” compliments the theme of the recording. Ed Dalton, a N.C. native, completes the group.
