Douglas Daube

What you can expect from Douglas is a pastor who cares deeply about sharing Jesus with others. He will spend as much time with students after a chapel service to speak and pray with them. He is authentic and laidback while at the same time a hard worker who will ensure that his messages are Scripture-based, Jesus-focused, and relevant.

Douglas grew up in a small town in Central Illinois. He thought he was a Christian because he attended a church. After his mother's death while he was in high school, he went on a downward spiral that almost ended in him taking his own life. During his first day at college at Illinois State University, he was stopped and befriended by some Cru students. Douglas eventually started going to a Bible Study and found the hope that he had so desperately needed. He encountered Jesus and now spends his life reaching out to teens hoping to share that same hope with them. He has been on staff with Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) and has been in pastoral ministry for almost 10 years. He is a husband to one wife, a father to two daughters, the former captain of his college Ultimate Frisbee team, and a fine connoisseur of dad jokes.

Having a microphone is helpful for large spaces. Having pro presenter is helpful but not required as PowerPoint would work as well.
