While weddings are our specialty, we offer a wide variety of draft horses and carriages to fit all of your special occassions including baraats (with the traditional Indian costuming for the horses), parties, holiday celebrations, promotions, parades, productions, grand openings, corporate functions, anniversaries, high school homecomings, proms, marriage proposals hayrides and funerals.

Downtown Horse and Carriage was beyond accommodating to our needs. I made several changes back and forth on my time and each time they were patient, understanding, and quick to respond. I felt like a princess rather than an inconvenience. They made sure they had all our addresses prior to our special day, and showed up early as to ensure promptness. The drivers were dressed formally in black and white to suit the time period of the well maintained antique black carriage. Black horses were groomed well and taken very good care of. Safety was a priority even on our short journey (had the other driver follow us with hazards on since it was a dark road). I was also highly impressed with our drivers posture (weird things yoga teachers notice), and she contributed to interesting conversation while still giving us space to absorb our moment, overall divine energy and experience. I would highly recommend!!

Had a great time and my date for that night enjoyed it.

Our equipment is all quality, handmade, Amish built and includes a variety of horse drawn vehicles that are suitable for any occasion. We feature several 4 to 6 passenger vis-a-vis wedding style carriages in various colors, three wagonettes ranging in sizes from 6 passenger to 10 passenger, and three elegant fully enclosed glass hearses in black or white. We are constantly striving to provide our clients with top tier performances by upgrading or restoring our equipment. We pride ourselves in our registered show quality Percheron draft horses. Perfect for any event we offer horses in white, black, and dapple grey.
