Brought life to our Holiday Party!

I hired Dr. Dave for a work holiday party and was very pleased. From the beginning, he was very helpful in talking through the services he could offer and what would be best for our event. I happened to show up to the event a little after Dr. Dave had started his strolling magic, and people were already coming up to me to tell me how great he was! I watched him do a series of tricks with multiple groups and was personally very impressed each time! Dave is pleasant, a great performer, and very professional. If you're looking to book a magician and he's available, look no further!

Loved working with Dr. Dave. We hired him for my 8 year old's birthday party, but our challenge was that there was a mix of kids ages and tons of adults there, and we wanted EVERYONE to be WOW'ed by the show. Well, they WERE! From the beginning of the process, he was professional, courteous and a great communicator. He was on time and stayed the entire time. And the show? Everyone LOVED it! The little ones, the big ones, and everyone in between! Not only was the close-up magic so amaaaaazing, but he was also funny and kind. He definitely made the birthday boy feel special, but truly everyone loved the show. I highly recommend him. For the price, he was definitely the best value. Oh and he didn't try to upsell me. Another magician who responded to the bid had some sales person call me and try to get me to buy a package that was a full 4-6 times what the high end of my bid was. Well, this isn't the way Gig Salad is supposed to work, and nothing like the professionalism with which Dr. Dave approached it (he was within the budget I'd given Gig Salad and an amazing magician to boot). Hire him. Seriously.

Dr. Dave was a amazing! He showed he was committed to helping execute my vision from day one. After inquiring about his services, Dr. Dave responded immediately. Also, when I had a team meeting prior to the event Dr. Dave was present. Finally, at the event Dr. Dave was a fan favorite. The guest were intrigued and Dr. Dave captured the quest full undivided attention. I highly recommend!

Dr Magic was perfect entertainment for my cocktail at my wedding last weekend. He was very professional, friendly and delightful. He mingled well with all our guests both young and old. He made the guests feel at ease and the atmosphere light and fun. There were many “oohs and ahhhs” and cheering during cocktail which is exactly what we wanted for our wedding. I highly highly highly recommended him for your event if you are thinking of hiring a strolling magician for your wedding or other event. It was money well spent and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Dr Magic was excellent!

His tricks were amazing, so good that we were genuinely surprised to learn that participants were not in fact coached or in on the trick. His banter with the audience was great also, super funny and really understood the sense of humor of our group. We experienced the wonder of Dr. Dave's street magic a few months before our son's first birthday. We immediately thought he would be such a fun addition to have at our party. Unsurprisingly, our guests LOVED him! His card and slight of hand tricks are so good you'll find yourself wondering if he really is a bit magical. I hired Dr. Dave for our block party. He strolled the block and did close up magic for the guests. He was great with the kids as well as the adults. He a definitely a huge hit and highlight at our party.

We had Dr. Dave at our son's 6th birthday party. We were looking for a magician that could appeal to both children and the parents that were there. We've been to the Chicago Magic Lounge a couple times and were looking for good magic, not like typical kid birthday party magic. We had him do close-up/ strolling type magic, so he walked around the park to different groups performing close up tricks. He did a few tricks where like there is literally no explanation other than he's really magic!!! And probably the coolest thing is that he left the audience with "magic souvenirs". My son has a quarter that he did a trick on... a mom has a drawing of a card that he made magically appear... one family has a card with their names on it, etc. Dr. Dave was an absolute hit - like seriously next level. After the event, all the moms started texting saying we need to go see more magic and multiple people asked me to share his info. It was definitely a highlight of the party. We were fortunate to have Dr. Dave for event we just hosted. He was completely flexible in his approach. -We had about 80 people, kids of all ages and adults. A highly entertaining hour of magic-fuelled comedy.
